Staff was very rude. My vehicle was towed to this location after a collision and I got a phone call from the location while I was trying to enjoy my breakfast stating that the vehicle needed to be moved. Obviously I had questions so I tried to talk with the people on the phone and they kept speaking over me, stating that they refused to do anything with it. I eventually drove to inspect the condition of my vehicle and see if it was even moveable, as it seemed that explaining my vehicle was not in operating condition wasn't enough for them to at least have some patience and a little bit of understanding for someone who just got into a collision. When I spoke with one of the mechanics, he was quick to anger and began to yell and argue with me to the point where I had to walk out, because it was clear that communication and customer service wasn't the strong suite of this establishment. When my friend who had drove me there went to receive my keys, the mechanic had the audacity to say that "some people need to learn to help themselves" after I tried requesting that they themselves explain to the insurance company (who had sent my vehicle to the location for repairs), that they lack the capability and skill set to work on or repair my vehicle, despite the name of the auto shop. Talking rudely about someone to the party that they were with, is definitely not professional. If you can't seem to bite your tongue, then you shouldn't work in customer service, or frankly be in the workplace at all. Overall, the experience I had with this place, not even being a client of theirs, convinces me that, should anyone need auto repair or servicing, Superior auto repair lacks professionalism, basic communication skills, and the basic quality of being cordial with someone. read more

Not at all impressed. When I picked up my vehicle at 6:30 pm, (I couldn't get there before they closed, so they parked it outside their shop for me) they had left my sunroof open and my radio on. It had been raining on and off all day, so my console and surrounding area were completely soaked. I got in and drove to a friends house to drop something off & mentioned that I had just picked up my car. He noticed that on my drivers side front tire there was a lugnut missing. After walking around my car, we found out that FIVE lugnuts in total were missing. When the mechanic called me earlier that day, not a word was said about this! The guy I talked to, I found out later, is one of the owners. He is, to put it politely, a rude jerk. He basically told me that finding out what the problem is with my headlights was "not worth his time". They had my car for 2 days, I asked them to check out 3 things: my headlights, my a/c and my front drivers side wheel bearing. In 2 days he managed to check the bearing, keep in mind he did nothing but look at it, as I asked for them not to work on it until we discussed prices. On top of all this, he accused me of having fake plates!!! Seriously? #1, you're not a DOT inspector, highway patrol officer, or any other person who would have a reason to inspect my plates!! Perhaps if you had done your job instead of making up crap, my car would have been properly checked over instead of the half a**** job I got!! And naturally, when I called this morning about the lugnuts, he had already covered his butt and told the receptionist that they were missing when I brought it in. **Avoid this place!** It's a joke! read more

Excellent repair & service company! I have went there for years for oil changes, tires and other car repairs. Very busy so there is a wait for an appointment. The "boys" do their best and Jodi, the office person, does her best too! My brother is a loyal customer and he recommended I start to go there too. After going to Tires Plus on base and that not going so well. I decided to stop here. Great people. You're welcomed by an amazing woman at the front One of the chilliest cats I've seen and the mechanics really seem to want to help. Mike worked on my Chevy Tahoe. He told me what was wrong showed me where it was wrong (which is big to me) and let me know that if there were any other issues that he'd be more than willing to help. Can't complain. Avoid! I recently purchased a vehicle here in Minnesota that now has 112K miles on it. CarFax indicates that Superior Auto Repair of Minot, ND replaced the water pump and did a flush & fill at 105K. My local mechanic took me back and showed me that the bearing was out of the water pump and it was filled with "gunk". He doubted anyone had ever done the repairs indicated by CarFax. read more

I recently had superior auto install a block heater in my van but because they couldn't find a block heater that fit my van they instead installed a 100W silicone heating pad which was totally inadequate for the weather we experience here. the block heater they/I wanted to install was a 600 watt block heater so clearly the 100w silicone pad which is on the outside of the oil pan wouldn't be adequate. I didn't find out they had installed a part that I hadn't asked for until after I called to let them know that the part wasn't adequate for the weather. When I told Mike that I didn't ask to have that part installed he insisted that it was a block heater over and over and also stated that the box says it's a block heater when infact the box does not call it a block heater it calls it a silicone heating pad. Mike was extremely rude to me on the phone and we ended up deciding to have them install a larger wattage heating pad. when they installed the new pad they upcharged me 51 dollars for a part that I could have bought myself and would have installed myself had they called me when they couldn't install the block heater that we had originally discussed. In short I would steer clear of this place they will just try to argue with you if they do something wrong and possibly install a part you never asked for. read more
