I met with the subcontractor before the work started and explained what my husband had told me the night before. They were completely surprised about what I told them. They stated that they were going to have to call the owner about that. I really don't know if they did because the result of that conversation was that my driveway which was supposed to have a gentle curve to match the other side now is a straight edge. While having the next part of the conversation, I verified that the tiles would be removed as well and the concrete would extend to the bottom of the stair. At that point, the owner of the company finally arrived and looked over the tile that was removed and then requested additional funds for the additional little bit (around 2 feet of concrete). The concrete was removed and placed in my yard along with the dirt and grass that was removed (placed in large garbage bags). I told them that my waste company would not pick up the garbage bags and they told me that they couldn't take it at that time due to the weight of the concrete and grass and the load on their truck as it was loaded with tools. They told me someone would be out the next day. A week later the pressure washer came to do the house (also part of the discussion on May 11, 2026). He had to remove the garbage bags in order to pressure wash the driveway and house. He took the garbage bags. I still had the concrete on my yard. Now on June 6, 2026, I still have the concrete on my yard. I have reached out via text (her preferred mode of communication) the first response back was that she had reached out to someone and they charged $300 to remove it and she thought that was too much and she was in touch with another company. The feeling I got was that I was going to have to lay out more money for work that should have been included with the removal of the concrete from the tiles and concrete under it in the first place. Calls are unanswered, text messages are not being answered. I sent an email to the address list on her business card with the email being sent back as invalid. How there are good reviews on this page is beyond me since in my experience work this shoddy is not a one time incidence.

Clarence and Warley always have an excuse why they can answer the phone or text back. I paid over 2600 dollars fora deposit. Warley only be onsite twice for 5 minutes. Clarence came once after the work was starting to be performed. They left all the materials on my grass now the grass is dying. When you speak to them whenever that is they assure you that everything will be handled. I wouldn't advise to use them. They are doing too many jobs at once so smaller jobs get the least amount of attention and professionalism.
