If I could, I would give Springs barbershop NEGATIVE 5 stars! I thought the negative 5 stars should only go to KB, the person who BUTCHERED my son's hair, but decided it goes to the owner of the barbershop too. This is because he has KB employed there. I scheduled my son for a low fade, and my son showed KB a picture of what he wanted. First, KB hardly spoke English but emphatically said yes when I asked him if he understood what my son wanted. At that point my son and I should have turned around and walked out but because I don't judge a person's abilities on how they speak, what they look like, if they have disabilities, etc. However, in this situation I should have followed my instinct. Secondly, he kept his heavily tinted glasses on the entire time he was cutting my son's hair. Lastly, he was more worried about what music he had playing and multiple times STOPPED cutting my son's hair to get on his cell phone to search for the next song he wanted to listen too. Again, I should have gotten my son out of KB's barber chair from hell and left. Before I knew it he had used hair clippers and shaved off a column of hair all the way down to my son's scalp. I was ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED! I tried not to show it on my face because my son was looking straight at me. All I could do was smile while crying inside and asking myself what have I subjected my son to. My son wanted just go to Great Clips, but I wanted him to have a real barber cut his hair this time. Great Clips would have done 100% better with what my son wanted. What a HUGE MISTAKE it was going to Springs barbershop and encountering the HORRIFIC, UNTALENTED hair cut given by KB. He didn't ask my son during the whole time cutting his hair if the length was okay, if my son was seeing what he wanted, or asking to see the picture my don i itally showed him. I'm not a barber, and I even knew it DEFINITELY WAS NOT WHAT MY SON WANTED!! I feel KB knew he messed up my son's hair cut because he airbrushed on both sides, near my son's temples, a brown coloring and then outlined the edges of the front of my son's haircut in white coloring. Why??? I've never not paid or tipped for services, and I didn't start with this service but regret it now. We got in the car and my son started crying horribly. Note, my son is 14yrs old and is not a crier. He cried all the way home, hid in his room most of the night while having more bouts of crying, and is worried about returning to school with his hair like it is. He begged me to fix it, but I can't think of a way to fix it. There is not enough hair to do anything. The only 2 choices that can fix this for my son is shave off all of his hair, or wait until it grows out and go to a real barber to fix it. Regardless my son will have to suffer all the teasing, questions about what happened, embarrassmentn etc. he'll endure from his peers in high school. KB, you made what was supposed to be a positive barbershop experience for my son a complete nightmare, you caused my son to cry harder than he's cried before, but most of all you made him distrust having haircuts done at a barbershop. I highly suggest you no longer cut hair, or complete A LOT of schooling and training before you take another client's hair in your hands. Haircut came out great! They understood what i wanted and did exactly what i told them.

Went in for a haircut with me and my kid. One dude cut my kid hair, and another dude cut my hair. I've been there once or twice in the past and it's been decent. But a lightskinned cat in the very back can't cut butter with a red hot razor. He cant fade if his life depended on it. My line looked like he dozed off, woke up and in the middle of trying to wake up, he lined me up.But on top of that, when it came time for payment the young dude that cut my kid only took cash. The dude that cut my hair said he took card and cash. So I ran to the ATM grabbed some cash. Came back young dude that cut my kid took $20 and the dude that cut my hair asked for $30. So u gave the one dude $20 for my kid and then the dude that cut my hair I gave him $40 and asked for change. He said he ain't got change. How yall up in here cutting hair all day and ain't got $10 in change? So I asked the other 4 babrbers if they had change, they all said no. One lil smart mouthed punk said he charge for change. But I came to the conclusion they ain't gettin real money in there, so never again will they get my business and neither will I refer anyone there. I guess back to Aurora where the real barbers are. Or there are possibly real barbers in there Springs, but they ain't at "Springs" barbershop in the Chapel Hills mall or these folks got regulars that they treat like royalty but if you a new customer they think you a simp. I have lived in Colorado Springs for over 5 yrs and I must say that this is hands down the best barbershop in the Springs and I'm glad I discovered this place while walking through the mall! Fidel, Hector, James, and the rest of the barbers are all top notch professionals and I've had my hair cut by all of them! They take their time with your hair, and never appear to have rushed me in and out the door. Also, seeing as how Colorado Springs is a military town, high and tights are what allot of barbers will give you in this town when you ask for a medium to high fade but these guys know exactly how to form a proper fade with no line in the back and a perfect blend! Yea I have read on here that $15 - $20 is pricy for a haircut but take it from a guy who has been all over town trying to find the right barbershop the past five years......you get what you pay for! read more

Came here a little over a month ago and had Martinez give me a mid fade. It was honestly one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. Now when I came in a week ago, I asked Michael for the same exact thing I got before. That turned out to be one of the worst haircuts I've ever had. Went in shortly after they opened and was greeted by my barber Gus. I showed him a pic of what I wanted(medium razor fade w/ little drop in the back) and he asked questions to confirm it. It took longer than I expected but that was a good thing because he took his time and made sure he got it perfect. Even after he let me see it at the end a few times, he went back and fixed things that I didnt notice instead of riding with it to get me out of there and that showed me that he takes pride in his work and after so many crap cuts I definitely appreciate that quality. Came out to $20 for the razor fade, line up, and evening out the top. Money well spent and I will be going here for now on(was my first time there today). This was my first barber ever. My mom owned a hair salon, so I always got free cuts till I moved out here. James was the first barber I had, and he was fantastic! His sprayer had scented stuff in it, the shaving cream was warm, and he straight razored like and artist catching ever hair out of place. I was upset today when I let the man next to him cut my hair as James was busy today. The shorter Latino man rushed through my haircut, cut me way too high, missed hairs around my ears, and he also smelled bad. Sorry bro, but next time I'm waiting for James. read more

My fiancee came in for a second visit. He wasn't happy with his first visit but giving this place another chance with another barber. His first look at the mirror "after" the haircut look like he got a Mohawk haircut with a exception of roundish top instead of spikes. He asked if it can be chop the center and round it off. He looked again on the mirror and saw bunch of brokenness cuts. To avoid from getting bold from trying to fix it, he said okay and went to pay. To his surprise, the $16 regular haircut turns to an extra $2. Knowing he definitely will not come back here again, he paid the charged and left a $2 tip. This place have bunch of wannabes. When first started going there they were on point as they say , I would leave their shop looking sharp. However in the year and a half their quality of staff has gone down drastically I got my haircut there yesterday and the dude that cut my hair didn't listen to how I wanted to my haircut he just went along and attempted to do his own thing he decided that I part my hair to the right (I dont I comb it foward) and so he shaved the left side of my head nearly to the top of my head and blended the right side way lower as well as I told him it was supposed to be finger length on the and so he cut it finger length on the back half of my head and in the front half left 3 inches of hair, as well as I asked to have my side burns blended in to my beard a task he only accomplished on the left side and the right side was left virtually untouched, and the lines around my ears looks like I got a haircut by Michael J. Fox with how uneven and jagged the lines are. I then told pointed out that I was not satisfied with my haircut he put in minimal effort to correct what he did to the front of my hair by just running the clippers over and saying, "we good now" at that point I just said, "sure" just so I could get out of there I'm not certain if angered the man that cut hair at some point in life and that was why he did such poor job on my hair or if he just completely lacked any skill at what he does. Anyway I will not be back as the last three times have been worse than the last and I have had my haircut by a different person each time.
