Contacted them to install a sliding patio door at our daughters home. I'd already ordered the door from Lowes & had it delivered. Apparently the contractor, when the home was built 20+ years ago used a custom size that was off by about 1 inch. When Superior Glass arrived to install, they gave us the bad news, and even offered to return the door themselves to Lowe's to save us the trouble, at no expense to us. They reordered the correct size & installed it as soon as it arrived at their warehouse. The refund from the Lowe's return, basically covered the new, correctly sized slider, so there wasn't an additional cost to having Superior Glass order it. AND, it fit perfectly. They were wonderful to work with. On time, ready to go, and did an excellent job installing. Excellent customer service, as they went above & beyond in helping to rectify my original 'mis-order'. Great experience. When spending a substantial amount on home improvement, one is always leery and apprehensive. Mike, the owner, was so honest, straightforward, and transparent that my fears were dissipated. His crew, Jim and Dean, were most respectful of my property and most professional. Their efficiency led to taking only a day and a half for the replacement of fourteen windows. The triple panes were of high quality U-value as promised. This was reaffirmed by a call from the electric company in a followup to validate the rebate taken off my invoice. The craftsmanship resulted in a huge upgrade in appearance. I can actually see the view more clearly, even more through the new screens than they were through my old, cloudy windows. It's too early to quantify savings, but I already have noticed my furnace not coming on as frequently as before. Total satisfaction. Wow, just wow. The owner, Mike, answered the phone and helped us so much. He does not go to our area but he helped me find what I'd need in a window repair company. Mike was honest and said the issue we are having doesn't have much to do with the windows themselves which was reassuring to hear and is most likely a separate issue. These guys handled two residential installations for me--a large living room window and a more standard-sized window in my home office. They just finished, and so far I am impressed with the quality of their work and the materials. (Granted, windows ought to last for 20 years, so you don't always know everything on the first day, but they look good so far). Their prices were fair. The owner, Mike, came out to take measurements without my having to be home. I didn't want to take a day off work just to let someone run a tape measure around my window frames, so I appreciated this for sure. He stopped by a day or two later to walk me through a bid, and listened carefully to info on bids I got from three other companies. He put together the best proposal for sure, with better windows at a better price. He took 50% down, gave me a receipt, and ordered the windows. The manufacturer delivered windows in the wrong size on the first attempt, but he got replacements issued quickly and we scheduled his installers. This morning, three guys showed up in a big box truck with my windows. They ran a bit late yesterday and we had to reschedule, but that was alright. They got right to work, removing and hauling away the old windows and popping in the new ones. Took a couple minutes over two hours for them to install, caulk, sweep, and vacuum everything up. They cleared out all their tools and debris themselves. They were a little rough around the edges in some of their humorous comments, but nothing bothersome, and they were clearly focused and capable throughout. They were careful around everything indoors and out, and the new windows look great. I would happily use Superior for replacing other windows in my house. read more
