No explanation was given on why the timing of my call effects their level of service. The BIGGEST surprise was how little Mr Trashman cared about me, the problem or my business with them. It may be time to look for a new trash pick up service which is unfortunate and totally avoidable.

This week when I showed up, they had me dump all the brass into a container and they weighed it and told me it was only 459 lbs, and the price was now only $1.69lb. I questioned their scale an mentioned I had much more they told me call their purchasing agent for a better price. I called and had to leave a message, same as last year, no call back this time, same as last time. So 1/14/25 I called Heavy Metal Recycling, Louie took my call Very professionally he questioned my load and said Brass shells were paying $1.80-$1.90 a pound and he would have to see it. Yesterday I showed up with 1013lbs (per my scale) of brass. Louie had a man set up a large box and weighed the empty box in front of me, next had me dump the brass into the box as they inspected some of it. They put it back on the scale and said 1014lbs and said he would go $1.85lb, I was super happy, all three men I spoke to were very kind and pleasant, the yard was very clean and I'm looking forward to my next trip there. Small list, Heavy Metal Recycling it closer to me than my other yard, they pay better, (I went home and called my old yard for some quotes), and they were not offended when asked to see the scale. But best of all they will sell also, my old yard in Worcester will not sell.

All went well until it came time to pay and the amount owed was $75 more than the maximum quoted…read more None of the reasons given were legitimate. After a lengthy, unprofessional conversation with Tyler, he finally agreed to a refund of $75. However the distribution of the refund was not correct. There was a 2nd person who had junk removed. Based on the quote, he should have received $25 back and myself $50. He refused. I only received $25. After a week of not seeing my $25 return I contacted them. They sent me receipts of the original charge and the credit. They were not mine. Tyler claimed he didn't know how this happened as he submitted the credit to my original payment method. Obviously not the case. I would not recommend them, but if you choose to use them, confirm the quote and communication between the office and pickup crew.
