Do not use these builders for your pole barn project. They are not builders, more like salesmen…read morewho market a nice barn, get you to sign a contract, then take 25 percent of your project money for themselves while subcontracting all the dirty work to third party builders, excavators, concrete specialists, etc. I signed a fixed price contract for a 30x40 pole barn with 14' side walls on 7/28/2018. The build site was excavated on 8/25. Holes were dug on 9/11. The actual building went up between 10/10 and 10/14. Concrete was poured on 11/16 (in the snow). I am still waiting for the finished excavation and some minor trim work (wrong color ordered and mistake caught after installation). In what world does it take over 20 weeks to build a pole barn?? I am very pleased with the subcontractor and his crew that put my barn up. Huntoon Construction gets five stars for their high quality craftsmanship. A1 Quality Pole Barns gets zero stars. I am totally dissatisfied with A1 Quality and the poor communication, poor coordination, and poor service that they have provided, or failed to provide during what should have been a fun and fairly short-term building experience. 20 plus weeks! Really? Totally unreasonable, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Save your money. Find a builder with dirty hands. Jeff H

About seven years or so we had Ayer come out and remove the old broken clay weeping tile in our…read morebasement and install a new system complete with sump system. They did a nice job no more water in the basement. Hated the little in ground sump discharge tank in the yard...always standing water. We ultimately had a local contractor reroute the sump discharge to the city storm sewer system $$$. It resolved the problem. Ayers at the same time also installed new basement windows (wrong type) but never finished the installation until months later after a lot of calling...in the interim we patched them as best we could, but our basement became a haven for spiders and other insects. The next year at our annual Ayers sump inspection, Zach (Zachart Stout) pointed out the failing of our 80-year-old north basement wall, of which we were already aware of. So, by 2026 after annual inspections by Zach, the wall situation had worsened to the point of needing repair (or take your chances). An Ayers crew came out and installed a series of GeoLock wall anchors to stabilize the wall. Their work was timely, very efficient and left no mess. We probably would have rated Ayers with a 5 if it hadn't been such a poor previous experience with the windows. Thanks, Zach, for your help and advice over the years.

Everything was explained carefully. When it came to installation, Bruce and his were on time, efficient, cleaned up after themselves and kept us updated. It was a noisy job, but they were themselves not noisy which we appreciated a lot since we work at home.

Few weeks later on 4/12/2022, I called and told the person on the phone (Todd) that I needed to cancelled and want my deposit back, he said he has to talk to his Forman and owner first. This is still a few weeks away from actually scheduling a date for redoing my driveway. I emailed them twice since then and give them a call and he still said the same thing, he still have to talk to the owner. They have no plan to return my deposit and knowing the only reason I am cancelling the project because I got a job offer out of state and just planning on selling the house as is. This a terrible way to do business, buyers beware of doing business with this company.
