Ayers provided driveway raise/repair services 8 months ago. Equipment malfunctioned, causing an 'explosion' of resin used in their process to adhere to sections of home siding, stairs, pillars, and banisters. Technicians onsite acknowledged their responsibility to repair this, which will require sanding and repainting. I have had text message exchanges with the technician and left numerous voicemails for management with Ayers home office over the last eight months, and have received zero return calls regarding this matter. What could have been easily resolved for $200 in paint and labor, is now requiring the BBB and state Attorney General's office. Pathetic.

How Ayers makes basements "leakproof"!!
Kristen C.

Our unfortunate experience with Ayers began with an impressive sales pitch. The price did include a permit they said they would have to pull. They went ahead and scheduled us for the next week. The morning of our appt, with all of our stuff moved in such a way that no one could easily access anything (home office, computer, bills, etc), they called and rescheduled. The soonest they could get us in was an entire month out. The second appt was made and once again, they rescheduled the morning of. Once they showed up, we were shocked at how young the kids were. We told them that we had dogs and cats. Both were put up in rooms where they couldn't bother the workers. However, once they left for the day, our gate was left wide open. Luckily when we let our dogs out, they didn't notice the open gate. Another issue we had is that they left the front screen door propped open. It was a very windy day in April and the wind blew our screen door off the hinge because it was left open. The workers were there for 2 whole days. In that time they jackhammered our concrete floors, installed a pipe from the leaking window all the way to where our sump pump pumps water outside. We were told by our sales person we would have a small concrete seam. What we were left with was a huge trail of uneven concrete work that followed the pipe and it was a good foot wide. The concrete was so uneven that a piece of tile wouldn't lay correctly if we tried to do so. Then we looked at the work around the window. They put holes in the concrete to the outside of the house. They was a piece of plastic blocking a larger hole that was not flush to the concrete. Even now that piece of plastic allows the most water in. To explain that absolute absurdity of what they did is a hard task. There was rag blocking a pipe to the outside. We have no idea why but it was stuck all the way in with purpose. The outside pipe isn't even connected to the pipe that goes to the sump pump drain. Now we have new leaks that are all over the basement. We had a plumber come and look at the pipe and he dumped over 5 gallons of water into their pipe (drains into the sump pump area) and absolutely nothing came out of the other end. So where is it going? When the kids left, they tried to collect the full balance. We refused. The sales person, owner, and a few other people from Ayers contacted us. The only thing they said is that they would come back out and "fix the problem". At this point they have drilled holes into our house, broke up concrete, and made the leaking go from one to area to the majority of our basement area. At this point we want them to never touch our house again. They were condescending in every way. We were told that they would have a really good team come to our house to fix their mistakes. Shouldn't all of your teams be GOOD TEAMS? Ayers acknowledged they messed up. They said it was their fault. They only wanted to send more people into our home to what????? Fix the huge holes and jacked up work? Why would we trust them again?? At this point we had read some other complaints about Ayers. One said to check your permit. We did. No permit was ever pulled and yes, they did charge us for one. Then, they argued with us about needing one. We had checked with Mason County building inspectors and were told that we did need one. Ayers assured us that they didn't (after charging us for one). Come to find out, they were told they needed one and quickly pulled one. So, all of this work was UNPERMITTED. They played that down like it was no big deal. Ayers has ruined our basement. Not only did they not fix the problem, but they made it leak EVERYWHERE. The first big rain we had after they destroyed our basement, we had an inch of water standing in our entire basement. We went from a small leak that prevented us from finishing part of the basement to our entire basement being flooded. We have to have Servpro come and clean up the flood damage and mold. We had to throw away furniture. Our son had nice guitars that had flood damage. We had electrical equipment that shorted out. It is unreal. They were notified of our predicament and the Vice President was nothing but condescending. They are using scare tactics and threatening to put a lien on our house to secure the final payment. My question to Ayers....final payment for what? The damage?

Nick W and his crew of Kyle and Josh B did a great job sealing 2 crack in our home's basement foundation.

After four unproductive days having heating/cooling, plumbing, and restoration specialists try to…read morefigure out why our entire basement carpet was soaked, Vince from Rangel's came out and immediately diagnosed the problem. It was actually a heating/cooling problem with the humidifier, and in addition to disconnecting temporarily, Vince helped me find a specialist who could provide a permanent fix. There was no charge for the assessment, but if this had been a foundation problem there is no doubt I would have had Rangel do the work!

Rangel's Waterproofing and Construction installed a basement tile system and a new basement egress window the week of October 9, 2017. Ozzie Rangel and his twin sons, Vincent and Gabriel, own and operate the business. Vincent is the manager, writing the estimates and contracts. Vincent and his dad Ozzie came to write my estimate. Both men were very respectful of me and honored all my questions. Ozzie promised he or one of his sons would lead my crew. Not only did Gave lead my crew, Ozzie worked at my house at least two days. When the project was completed all things promised on the contract were completed as promised. Even though it took three trips to Menard's on Friday afternoon to get all supplies needed no corners were cut. Friday completion was the goal and the crew worked until 9 PM to reach the goal. In spite of the lateness and being dark the basement and yard were cleaned beyond my expectation before they left. Yes, the project was completed on time in spite of many glitches, but the best part of working with Rangel's was the courteousness and professionalism they displayed toward each other and me. By the time the project was compete we felt like friends. There were never any harsh words spoken to anyone. Gabe was even very polite and patient in teaching a new crew member. I would hire Rangel's Waterproofing & Construction again.

Honestly one of the worst experience with a trade company I've had recently…read more My wife and I were in the process of buying a home and there was water issues in the crawl space that needed to be remedied before the sale went through, so we called this company to have them waterproof our foundation. After the $13000 bill and "finish" of the project we noticed water still in the crawl space and our back step mysteriously pitched towards the house. We didn't think much of it because we had bigger projects to tackle. Fast forward a few months and it's time to figure out what happened. We call and explain the situation, and somehow it doesn't fall under warranty. They offer to come look at what's going on and potentially have to finish the project, for another $1500 plus $1000 to take out the step. We consider this to be ridiculous and attempt to take the step out ourself (which we do after another week of back breaking work), only to discover that they dug under our step, likely the cause of the collapse and pitch towards the house and only placed 6 inches of barrier without even attaching it to the house. Now after about 5 calls with no contact back I'm for ed to leave this review warning other homeowners from working with this crooked company. PLEASE STAY AWAY.

Thanks WMW for taking great care its truly hard to find a company that cares as much as you do!
