We talked about putting some pebbles and metal edging around my patio, a few railroad ties on a slope on the back, leveling the soil where some trees and shrubs were removed and planting some new shrubs. He sent me a quote and we agreed that he would start on 5/22 and finish on Thursday 5/23. I was quoted a total of $3500. I paid half as requested (1773.00). On 5/21/24 Brodie called me at 4:35pm and stated that he was unable to start until 5/22 because he had to rent a piece of larger equipment. I said that was fine if he thought he could still finish on Thursday. He said he could. He showed up on Thursday morning with another person and went straight to the back to work. Around 11:30 he called me to come outside because the excavator was broken. He said he could fix it. He had put down rubber edging instead of the metal we agreed upon. Later another guy joined him. He called me outside again around 2:30pm to look at their work. They had put landscaping timbers on the back slope as stairs instead of railroad ties as requested and used large river rocks between them. I couldn't walk on them without worrying about breaking my ankle. They left for the day and were supposed to return Friday to fix my yard. They came back Friday morning and ran a machine through my lawn. I looked out of my window and saw Brodie raking where the machine had destroyed the wet grass. Shortly after that he texted me that the machine was going to mess up the grass so they would be back on Monday (Memorial Day). Monday, no call, no show. Tuesday, no call no show.

At 9:00 a.m. that day, I received an appointment confirmation email that asked me to confirm, which I did. David never appeared. No one emailed or called me - they just left me waiting for nothing. Ghosting a potential or current customer is the most unprofessional thing a company can do, and shows their complete disregard for you by wasting your time. They could have declined the appointment or reached out to say they did not want this work, and anyone would understand that. This was rude and a huge red flag about their business model. They inadvertently did me a favor and have sent me elsewhere.
