"Get A Second Estimate" I had a 5 foot seam failure on a 20 foot boat cover. I took the cover in…read morefor repair and the gentleman at the counter asked that I leave the cover so he could quote me an estimate. My request was to restitch over all of the original stitching on the entire cover. A woman called back and stated the cover was not worth stitching, and I needed a new cover. The cover was 10 years old and stored inside over the years and there were NO rips or tears in the cover. She proceeded to quote me $850.00 for a new cover. I told her I don't need a new cover, just a restitch. She then quoted me $350.00 to restitch the cover. I then asked her to just price the 5 foot seam stitch failure. She quoted me $40.00, however, it would be cash only. I took the cover to another canvas shop and asked for a total restitch of the original stitching and asked the owner of the shop his opinion of the condition of the cover. His estimate was based on storing it indoor the majority of the year, it should last 5-8 years and the canvas did not show any fatigue. He saw no reason to replace it. I paid $100.00 plus tax. Googled it and seemed like it was 2-3 different options that I didnt want to start trying to figure out so I called these guys. Their repair guy was friendly, knowledgeable and fast. He diagnosed a bad fan in about 5 min. ordered a new fan was back in a couple days with it and showed me how the new fan was a new model # so this was a known issue that GE had since addressed and released a new fan version. He also explained how they only work with manufacturers they know they can get parts for quickly. Who wants to be without a fridge for weeks/months? Was so pleased with them I've referred them to other home owners in our neighborhood that just finished using them today. Great job guys!
