My family and I have been going to Dr. Ahmed Kheir since 2015. We have had very positive experiences and a good relationship. In trying to make an appointment, Vanessa, the office staff, was extremely rude and totally unprofessional. How is there a note on all of 4 of our records stating we have been dismissed due to a rude encounter!? We haven't been in the office since COVID and she refused to let me speak to the doctor. Furthermore, she hung up the phone on me! This is discriminatory practice and totally unacceptable. We got "dismissed" for something we didn't do and Vanessa refused to explain what on earth she was referring to. I hope Dr. Kheir sees this and calls me. What a shame. Vanessa definitely has to go to customer service training because if she's the face of this office, they will continue to lose patients. read more

DONT GET YOUR CROWNS HERE. THEY BREAK WITHIN A YEAR OR TWO. They do not try to accommodate when this happens. I got 3 crowns replaced here. One cracked within a year, when I had asked them for a new crown with no cost..they said they could give me 10% discount on the new one. um no, it cost me $600 to get this one. I'm having to replace crown #2 that I got from them a year ago as well. My new dentist saw these and thought they were old crowns. yeah. never again. read more

I've been using these dentist for years but during Covid I cheated on them and went to someone who I know in Yonkers to have my root canals and post that was the worst move my teeth were horrible I'm finally back with with these dentist husband and wife had my teeth all redone what an amazing job now I'm able to smile again without being embarrassed of how my teeth looked she did an outstanding job I'm so glad I'm back where I belong they deserve more than 5 stars they always have appointments always on time place is spotless employees are friendly and amazing accommodating read more

Stay Away from these incompetent dentists. So I get a very threatening and harassing voicemail from Sure Smile dental stating that they don't want to see my family as patients because we left an honest review on Google (who by the way did not recommend or refer my family to a new dentist and will not release my medical records to me or my new dentist) Ahmed is not a competent dentist. Ahmed also makes inappropriate jokes which made me uncomfortable a few times. His partner or wife Moooona is even more incompetent. After I specifically told her to work on my sons bottom tooth she preceded to put on a temporary crown on the wrong top tooth. She should really stop practicing before she really hurts someone and catches a lawsuit for malpractice. Even her own staff had some unnerving things to say about her. Their crowns are horrible, I truly believe they're made to break within a year so their patients can keep coming back to them. I am very glad they called and left us a threatening and harassing voicemail. We will be choosing a new dentist because clearly Sure Smile cannot handle performing simple dental procedures. I just endured two months of what can only be described as a HORROR SHOW at the hands of this dentist. I came with a broken crown that needed to be replaced. First she tried to pressure me into a root canal I did not need. Then when I declined that, the temporary crown she put in messed up my bite so bad that I was in agonizing pain for 2 weeks before she could repair it, and in the meantime I developed TMJ from my bite being messed up and could only open my mouth two fingers. Fast forward to $1,500 and counting in physical therapy and a night guard to fix how my bite was screwed up, I went to have the permanent crown fully cemented (she tried again to get me to do a root canal, which was confirmed as unnecessary by another dentist, and this time went so far as to get a pre-approval from my insurance). Mid procedure she started yelling at me because I couldn't tell with the anesthetic if I was biting properly or not and apparently the cement was going to set back. I snapped back that I needed a second *so that I didn't walk out with a bad bite again and go back to square one.* So apparently it was ok for her to yell, but I couldn't speak up. for myself, even after all of her shotty work. She just told me that I need to find a new dentist, even if this is still messed up when the anesthesia wears off. RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS HORROR SHOW. You're better off letting your teeth rot out of your head than letting this woman put her hands in your mouth. ETA all the other complaints check out. Dr Omran is rude. She doesn't explain anything and she is rough in your mouth to the point of being violent. I'm going to have PTSD from this whole nightmare. read more

I have a been coming to this place for a few years. The level of service has always been poor as the dentist always seems to have an attitude and is always rushing. Well, 6/25/2020 I had the worst experience to date. Mona Omran refused to treat my six-year-old daughter because I needed to quickly check a message on my cell phone. She ordered me to put my phone away (my phone had not even come out of my bag, I had reached inside my bag to retrieve the phone). I asked her to give me two seconds to check who has messaged me. I asked the receptionist and the assistant to speak with her. They told me she would come to continue the visit. Unbeknownst to me, she had called the police for me, who was still calmly waiting. I feel as though I was being set up by the dentist and her two employees. They both told me she was coming back to the room to start the exam with my daughter knowing she had called the cops. Was I being set-up or baited to be arrested for asking for her to treat my kid's huge cavity? We are currently in the middle of two pandemics, Covid-19 and racism. In the height of racial tension, she called the police on me a black woman in a predominantly white area. This could have gone south. This dentist has inflicted emotional trauma on me and my daughter. I would never recommend anyone to this office nor would I ever step foot in this place again. Horrible dental practice. Never got treated and waited for more than an hour. The dentist is rude and does not care for her patients.

I went in as a new patient for a regular checkup/cleaning... THE GOOD: Clean office. The staff is nice enough. And there are TV's in each room so you can watch while you wait (my wait, about 20 minutes). THE BAD: Dr. Mona Omran was my dentist. She was curt, and not friendly at all. She never even took off her face mask or loupe to greet me. It seemed like she just wanted to get me out. During the cleaning, I explained I had tooth sensitivity, and she didn't seem to care. Even when I winced, she just continued on (other dentists usually offer a numbing agent). She even barked orders to her staff and expresses annoyance when I asked questions. Needless to say, I wont return, and would never recommend this office to anyone. read more

The Most HORRIBLE experience... I've been a patient with Dr.Kheir for 4 years without any significant problems, until a couple months ago the following happened. 1- I scheduled appointment to see Dr. Kheir, for a root canal. 2- when I presented to the office it was his Spouse Dr. Omran whom I've never treated with or even seen previously. 3- Dr. Oman demanded I pay $150 in cash or I will not be seen, which was very bizarre behavior, though I paid the required with no issue despite being alarmed you her approach regarding the deductible $150. 4- amid the procedure, while I'm under Anesthesia Dr. Omran stated that " she has a lot of patients there" and won't be able to continue now. She suggested I go to the shopping center for a couple of hours and come back or schedule an appointment for another day. This was beyond imaginable, but it only gets worse. 5- I stayed in the reception until she could continue and finish the root canal. 6- she was very nasty in her attitude. I was in the office from 4 pm 10:30 pm. 7- a month later the filling she did fell out and caused me a terrible infection. 8- Dr. Kheir doesn't seem to be attentive enough to matters of such nature which I believe is very disturbing as well. 9- I called the insurance and was told that they've overcharged me for the deductible, and have yet to refund me. 10- after all this Dr. Kheir gave me antibiotics and an appointment that he wasn't in the office for. 11- I went for a second opinion today and was told that my tooth is still infected and that Dr. Kheir should've never done a root canal In the first place. 12- the current office staff is also very unprofessional compared to staff throughout my years of being a patient there. I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO SURE SMILE DENTAL, MY EXPERIENCE BEGINNING WITH Dr. OMRAN WAS/IS THE WORST I EVER HAD TO GO THROUGH. I went into Sure Smile Dental following my harrowing experience w Champion Dental. See review for that here too! Well, Dr Ahmed Kheir, is the nicest most professional dentist I have ever met. He has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. I am so happy I found him. The office is great. I proceeded to have him replace all my amalgam fillings for the new composite ones. I did that in a couple of visits. When I completed my dental work I was so sad that I would not be going in anymore. The staff is so welcoming and professional. He is such a great dentist I cant say enough great things about him!! I recommend him to everyone. read more

I agree completely with Maria C. This place is very good! I also had a very bad experience with a previous dentist and was afraid to see ANY dentist. Dr. Kheir is very very nice and gives great advice on the best way to keep my teeth healthy. He also does most of the regular cleanings himself. I am always in and out of there quickly and they are very accommodating with appointments. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the parking situation is horrible. Be sure to get there early so you have time to fight for a spot! read more

My family and I had been patrons of Sure Smile for many years. We were very happy with the service provided by the doctor and to be clear: this negative review does not originate from the doctor or his ability to provide care at all. It deals with the rude and immature staff which work in the office. Recently my son needed a procedure done which was a week long process.the first part of the procedure was completed successfully. We pay for our services as we leave the establishment usually, but on this particular day my son had another appointment 10 minutes after the completion of his procedure, thus I did not have time to pay the bill for that days procedure.The secretary was informed that we would return on Monday for the final steps in the procedure and also to settle our bill. When we returned on Monday, the same secretary was working at the desk. She seemed dumbfounded that I had scheduled my son for a procedure that day, she kept claiming that I had said Wednesday instead. I overlooked this simple clerical mistake and the doctor was notified that my son had arrived and that he would need to be worked on before he left for college the next day. The secretary told me the balance I still had due; I politely assured her that I would pay today once everything was complete including the procedure from the first day and all the work done on that day as one lump sum payment. In addition, the secretary began to claim that my younger son had an outstanding bill due to X-Rays taken at his last annual cleaning. However, I was with my son the entire time during the cleaning, and I was sure that no X-Rays had been taken that day and disputed the bill. I told the secretary I would deal with it after my son's procedure was complete - my main priority at that time was ensuring my older son's teeth were repaired properly. Now this is where things started to get a bit ugly. The doctor began working on my older son's teeth, and as usual, he performed phenomenally. As the doctor was working on my son, the secretary from before barges into the room with a sheet of paper listing all the money I still owe the company. I began to explain to this dense woman that I had already told her that I would settle the bill once the procedure was complete. I had been coming to this practice for years and have never been a delinquent payer. I also tell the secretary that it is extremely improper to come into a room when a doctor is working demanding money; I myself am a physician, and I would reprimand any staff who would dare do such a thing. However, this secretary thought it would be better to bring in the practice manager. At this point, the doctor had left my son with a material in his teeth in order to take an impression. The manager of the practice and the secretary came into the room during this time and began explaining that payments had to be made "upfront" and "before procedures occur" and that I was violating the rules of the practice. I found this to be ridiculous - I was not about to pay thousands of dollars on a procedure that hasn't been done yet! I would understand this behavior if I had been a delinquent payer - but that was not the case. The doctor tried to enter the room and explain to the manager that I was a long time customer and that payment wasn't an issue - the manager had the GALL to push the doctor out of the room and lock the door so that he couldn't enter. Let me just point that out. The doctor (owner) of the practice was kicked out by his manager (employee). This is the point I decided I was not going to have my son treated here and that I was never bringing any of my family to this practice again. The two women continued to verbally accost me for money and refused to leave until I handed them my credit card. Remember that X-Ray I mentioned for my younger son? They pulled up an X-Ray and showed it to me saying that it was the one taken and that I would have to pay for it today as well. My older son then pointed out that the X-Ray was in fact for himself - not his brother. How can I trust staff of a medical profession that can't even keep their documents in order? I immediately told them to forget working on my son. I could tell this practice was run without any consideration of patient needs - that two people would come in asking for money in the middle of a procedure in the fashion these two had. I paid the manager the money that she so desperately wanted. But what did she end up trading for the few hundred dollars? She's lost a valuable family of customers, source of income, and tarnished the reputation of this practice - I will make sure any of my friends and family looking for a dentist DO NOT go to Sure Smile. read more
