5 stars isn't enough when talking about Halper Dentistry! I have been using them for over 25 years and the care and attention has been nothing short of amazing. Their follow-up is unprecedented. Unlike the typical scenario where a service provider says they will review something (x-rays, charts, etc) and then you hear nothing, Dr. Ira ALWAYS follows through and responds personally. The first time he said that to me, 25 years ago, he responded with a 7 page handwritten reply of all that he found. Most recently it was a quick e-mail. As a group, they stay current with technology and are always advancing. Information is at your finger tips, appointments are electronically confirmed, etc. They strive, very successfully, to have happy patients. NOTHING UNPLEASANT about a trip to Halper Dentistry...I've been a patient of Ira's for over 30 years now. He is always professional, yet friendly and approachable. He takes his time on both his work and his explanation of any issues with my mouth or a procedure. He's got gentle hands and genuinely wants me to leave his office as a "satisfied customer." Sara, his daughter, more recently joined his practice. She is smart and personable. She did a required bonding repair on my front tooth at my last visit and restored my smile :) The hygenist and other staff are competent and caring. You cant compare a family run business to all the WestMeds, and medical practice groups that have opened up all around us. I had a chip in my front tooth on Christmas Eve. I felt like my plans were ruined and my mood and my insecurities plummeted immediately. I decided to take it upon myself and reach out to anyone and everyone who could possibly be open for an emergency session. To my dismay all places were closed, but I left voicemails in hopes that someone would return my call. Thankfully my prayer was answered and Dr. Ira Halper reached out to me and came into the office to repair my chipped tooth. Since then, they have become my primary dentist. My husband and I have been going to, first Dr. Ira and now Drs. Ira and Sara, for quite a few years - maybe 15 or 20? I love the vibe there. No one likes going to the dentist and if I didn't have to go get cleaned and repaired every once in a while, I wouldn't. That said, Dr. Ira is a great, compassionate, sometimes funny !!! , and gentle soul who gets it. No pushing, no guilt. Dr. Sara was amazing with our 6year old. I was so exctied to know she also takes children. It was the best experience for our child. We just switched over from a pediatric dentist who wanted to treat my child with gas for a simple sealant. Dr. Sara was so informative and caring! My dentist for the past 35 years retired about six months ago and I was casting about for replacement. I'd heard about Halper from someone in my office so I made an appointment when I had a problem with one of my teeth. The problem turned out to be a cracked tooth but it was difficult to figure out exactly which tooth because nothing showed up on x-ray and the surrounding teeth hurt also.I must say I was blown away by the quality of care in the conservative way in which they approached my problem. My husband and I have been coming to Ira for over 20 years. I have lousy teeth and have needed much too much work, so he's had to handle some tricky diagnoses and procedures. He's always very careful to explain his thinking so the patient can participate in the decision making, but of course I trust him completely so he does make all the decisions.
