I was a regular user of the gym, on a £30 per month Gold Membership, which entitled me to use whenever I wanted it. I mainly use the running machines, of which there are 10-12, as well as cross trainers (same again) and rowing machines. I found I could get in after work and get on a machine mostly as soon as I arrived, which isn't too shoddy considering it's a well used gym. I also liked to use the weights machines, which if you chose tactically could provide a good workout. Sure, it gets busy, but compared to some London gyms I've been to where I've paid £40+ per month, it's positively breezy. As well as the gym, the Sportspark has a fantastic climbing wall, two 25m (or sometimes 1 50m) swimming pools, indoor games areas for badminton etc, a martial arts and dance studio, an amazing gymnastics facility, an outdoor athletics area and outdoor games area, squash courts and a neat little cafe/bar. Prices are good if you're a member and they often run introduction courses to activities which are particularly good value. There's also the popular free circuit training on a Monday and Tuesday lunchtime which is a fantastic little workout! I've used quite the place quite a bit, having used the gym and pool regularly, as well as going on squash and climbing courses (as well as subsequently using these facilities independently), done Taekwondo with the Saracens club, played badminton with friends, done athletics with the Circuit training people and I'm currently doing a gymnastics course at their new gymnasium (!). I've found the staff are courteous and eager to help, the wet and dry locker rooms have been clean every time I've used them and in general I've grown to love the place. I'm sorry that some people have had bad experiences, but in terms of value for money and facilities available, the Sportspark is amazing and I love that it's just a short cycle from my home.

An astonishing waste of money. This is in short, a £100 day out for a family of four (in our case;…read more2 adults, two children, 5 and 3). Is it worth it? Certainly not. Entry cost us an eye watering £64, which admittedly we could have saved £4 on if we'd booked in advance. Lunch was around £20, and drinks though the day another £10 (4x coffee). Facepainting and other activities were thankfully free. Food isn't cheap, especially given the entry price, lunch is about £5pp and hot drinks are around £2.50 each. I had hoped that for my £100 I would get something worthwhile in return. Sadly that was not the case, I'd essentially paid for access to a woodland playground for the children, with a few side shows. What annoys me the most is that an adult pays £16.50 for nothing. There's zero value for money for an adult; you're simply there to look after your children and keep them safe. A member of staff did say "you could go on the zip line" when I asked what there was to justify the adult entry fee. I get that it costs money to run these places, and that the plethora of staff need to be paid, and that the masses of equipment need to be bought. But, if your business model relies on an "if-you-build-it-they-will-come-and-pay-for-it" form of modern highway-highway robbery, all disguised as "children's entertainment", you're looking at a limited set of patrons. Showing value for money at that sort of ticket price is essential. I should note however that the staff were very friendly and very enthusiastic. We were thankful for that at least, as they helped the children enjoy their day. I can't fault the staff at all, they were excellent. Perhaps you'll have an amazing time if you go, your kids will certainly enjoy it, especially if the sun is shining. But, for two parents to pay £33 to stand in a wood for the day you'd have to really want to be there. By contrast, you could goto Holkham Hall and pay £3 for parking, and the kids have an equally good time in a woodland playground, complete with zip line. One other thing: this isn't an "all weather" site. If it looks like rain, stay away. A lot of the equipment gets quite slippery in the wet, and there is a severe lack of cover from the elements. Everything is out in the rain, so wrap up warm and take a brolly. Incidentally there are no indoor heated areas, so if the kids get cold your day is over. Unless you can persuade them to stand under a hand dryer in the loos. Like I said, £100 to stand in a wood.

However the grand children enjoyed themselves, you just need to keep your eye on young children all the time as they can soon get lost and there is plenty of water about. On the back wall they have a section dedicated to Divine and fair trade products, here you can buy all types of fairtrade food (new of course). They often have other new items in aswell such as jigsaws and games. The majority of stock is clothes, which are all in great condition and reasonably priced. They also sell books, videos, homeware, cds, dvds etc

The clothes range from occasional good finds of Burberry to Coast and of course the usual offcasts of primark and M&S. The shop is open 6 days a week and the clothes washed, ironed and good value. The staff are most helpful and offer a reserve service.

Riverside Swimming Centre is a no frills leisure centre but it is perfectly adequate and has been…read morethe place we have taken our children to for the last few years. There are two pools, a main pool and a teaching/childrens pool which is slightly warmer than the main pool and has a few steps leading down into it. They often have fun floats and woggles on the side for public use. My children loved us taking them here for a swim around and now that they are more confident in the water they have just started having lessons by themselves. They are in a group of no more than eight children and the lesson is taken by two instructors. They really look forward to this every week as the lessons are made quite fun and yet they are making good progress. You can watch them from the viewing area on the other side of the glass too. The only negative is that the changing rooms are quite cramped. There are a couple of family changing rooms if you can get one. These have got a shower in them and baby changing facilities, but the floor sometimes looks as if it could do with a bit of a clean. All in all though a reasonable pool.

Some of the outdoor activities are only open Easter to October such as the small farm, pony rides and tractor trailer rides and maze. Other than that it is open most of the year but not on Mondays, or Saturdays when it has private parties. Indoors there is a small soft play area, with a separate area nearby for babies, the 'duck' pond (ball pit) area, a sandpit in the barn, and a book corner. There are also outdoor play areas when the weather's fine. The only problem I find when we go is that it can be hard to keep an eye on both children at once if they want to do different things because it's not altogether under one roof. Fantastic for little ones though - worth a visit!

They use a combination of toys, games and activities to encourage their development and confidence. We went back last week, as we do go nearly all the time every year. And the managment have changed in the complex, Rubish! The showbar was big and now they have made it smaller so good luck getting a seat and you cant buy a 5 litre jug of beer anymore because of safety or something new in the goverment regulations. The prices in the spar shop is bad! I mean 90p for a can of coke which is like the bottle price! Please if you go there stitch your pockets. The one other good point is becoming an owner. I have my privilige card so I dont really need to carry around cash its just on my pitching bill at the end of the year. Don't get me wrong the park is great and really clean but the managment need to have a re-think.

It is going to provide a smoke, drink and drug free environment for teenagers. There will be loads of activities for them to do. Or it is just a safe place for youngsters to meet. A coffee shop will provide drinks and snacks to any visitors to the building. WATCH THIS SPACE for what should be the best youth venue in the country.
