I understand this, however, a steroid shot will give you a boost to give your body a chance to heal itself. I decided to go to UrgentCare of Louisiana one week after I became ill and 4 days of laringitus and just not feeling better. Dr. Anisha Turner is the BEST! She took tests and found I had Strep Throat. Not only did she give me a steroid shot, she prescribed me FIVE other meds that kicked in immediately and by that night I was 50% better and the next day I was 80% back to my healthy self. Her professionalism is beyond compare. A hearing loss patient necessitates a doctor that is understanding and patient regardless of the level of hearing loss. I was very protective of my big brother (age 58). Dr. Dean and staff accommodated our schedules due to long traveling distances we had to make. The last time I saw my brother was during our visit at the ENT office after Dr. Dean fitted him with his hearing aids. He left as a happy man and ready to return to service and duty at his church as musician. Dr. Dean's care and compassion gave him the encouragement he needed. She is to be commended for outstanding service. This is my first time writing anything publicly. But I wanted the people in Shreveport and surrounding areas to know that there are still Specialists that care about their patients.
