Marco Ventura is the most unprofessional, rude and arrogant tattoo artist I have ever come across. I volunteered at the Brisbane and Gold Coast conventions that he runs and I was meant to be paid with two $500 tattoo vouchers to be done by him. We worked at least 10 hour days, 3 days straight. It took weeks to get booked in with him and when I finally did, he spent over an hour drawing up the design on the day which was completely different to mine. He then got annoyed that I wanted some things changed and booked in another person in the afternoon despite claiming that he tattoos only one person a day. I was then left with a half finished tattoo after around 3 hours work. I booked in my tattoo to be completed the next week and he cancelled a few days before. I was told to wait until May to have it completed. When I messaged him in May, he said that an apprentice would now be finishing the vouchers, otherwise I would have to pay Marco - despite him owing me the $1000. I refused to pay, so he said that I can have 2 more hours of work and after that I have to pay him. He now ignores my messages and also refused to tattoo another volunteer simply because he did not like the design - he cancelled on them the day of their booking and they had to get it done by another artist from the studio and it got infected. Rude, unorganised and completely unprofessional. Definitely go somewhere else where you will be treated fair and have your tattoo completed. read more
