Boatman explained it was drastically darker due to "processing" chemicals and apologized that his staff didn't explain to me this was a possibility. He gave me a miniscule (very miniscule ) discount but only after he raised the price from the estimate. Rather than risk damaging my cabinets I am stuck with a counter top that looks like smeared dog poop. I cringe every time I walk in to the kitchen now.

If you are looking for tile or countertops, do yourself a favor and choose a supplier other than Boatman's.

At the beginning of my remodel, I joined a kitchen remodel facebook group and I saw a lot of unhappy customers because of poor spacing between the cabinets, countertops with bad seams and cabinets that weren't level. The FB group taught me these are common mistakes that happen when using big box stores and contractors who are not experienced in kitchen remodeling. My experience was nothing close to what I saw on Facebook. The customer service isn't only great for this type of business, it is exceptional by any standards for any industry. They communicated everything throughout the process and they offered great advice when my husband and I struggled making decisions. We would not have chosen the cabinets we have if we just walked in and made a decision on our own but once we got the sample home, it was a perfect match to our stove but also a perfect fit to our overall design and "vibe" of our kitchen. We also had a few special requests they have never done before but they made it happen and everything is beyond our expectations. I can't imagine what our kitchen would look like if we used anyone else.

Our home was built in 1991 and the windows were completely rotten less than ten years later (Jeld-Wen - think they went bankrupt but may be out ther again). I searched every available window company and couldn't believe the offering that K&W offered. We chose WeatherShield mainly since it was so rare to be able to pick the wood type of the windows - no pine, the wood is just too soft. We replaced all of our windows with K&W and we love having windows the are a complete match to all or our trim. A few years later we added an addition. This time we didn't have to do research, we knew exactly where to go and the windows to use. I'm going to tell you that they are busy but when you are with Tim Lund or Doug Metz from K&W, you are all they are thinking about. My advice to anyone is don't make a decision until you have seen what K&W can offer. I think you will be much more impressed that the "one-company" window offerings. Go see all that they offer, then make the decision this is right for you. They will show you everything and even show you the competitor's products. We also purchased solid core panel doors and new hardware but the experience was the same. I hope this helps you.

I received his bid right away, (totally in line for the job) and we set a date for the work to start and estimated completion date. There were NO surprises as every thing was done in a professional manner. Plus they are very easy to work with. They even "let" me help just a little which made it fun for me. Again I'm very happy with my new floor and it turned out exactly as I envisioned and wanted.

If I could give Ryan Vakulskas zero stars, I would. This is the first time I've ever bashed a…read morecompany online in my life, so that's saying something. I made the massive mistake of hiring his company to do some dirt work, lay some concrete, and remove and replace a retaining wall in my yard. It was a $12k estimate. Things started off fine, and demolition was accomplished in one day. Then when they poured the concrete, he claimed the concrete itself cured too quickly for them to properly finish it. They blamed Standard Concrete. Suits from this company came out and inspected the concrete and found nothing wrong with it, but Ryan said he wouldn't put his name on the work, and came out and tore up most of it without my permission. He ruined my entire backyard with his skid steer while doing it. His guys framed to repour, but then he quit working and kept asking for more money. I ended up paying the $12k estimate in full just to get him to come finish the job, but even that wasn't enough. He now wanted more money than that, and refused to complete any more work. He was awful to me and treated me horribly, and at one point even texted me "F*** you" among other things. I still have every text he sent me for proof. I finally refused to work with him anymore. I only got the retaining wall removed, my backyard destroyed, and maybe 100 foot of sidewalk done for $12k. I hired another company to complete the job because I couldn't stand the thought of seeing or talking to Ryan again. He's truly an awful person.
