The family is very friendly, husband and wife, who are hands-on owners and will physically mix paint, cut pipe, give you advice, point you to the right aisle, and give you a variety of options for what you are looking for. Sometimes their selection is lacking, especially if there has been a rush of customers, but overall, being downtown working for many years back-when, why would I run to Lavale and have to fight lines when I can walk right down the street and get taken care of quickly. What's also cool that you wouldn't think of- they have a variety of services as well that at big box stores you'll fight tooth and nail to have someone help you and probably then just pawn it off on another associate. Here at this location - they cut glass, cut pipe, mix paint, make keys, and a variety of services you wouldn't expect. Very impressed! Will be back!

There was no sale personal on the floor working anywhere. I went to the counter where there was one person working ringing up a line of people. I waited for my turn and asked for someone to help me and he called on the radio that a customer needed help in jacks. I walked back to where the jacks were and waited and waited and waited some more and no one came. I went to the front of the store again and the guy asked me if anyone helped me yet I said nope no one showed up he apologized and I went for a buggy. I still see no one around the jacks so I took what I thought was a close match to the jack online and went to the front to rung up. The guy very discussed at this point for one not having help to wait on people in line and two for no one helping me. I told him that this was the closes one I found to the jack online however the price of the jack was 99.99 and he couldn't do anything about it because no one will come help him or customers in the store because he's been yelling for help for 30 minutes. It's pretty sad that customers and staff can't get help when needed or have questions. Also the sales sign on the jack was advertising the wrong jack the jack had the wrong price for the sku number that it was for. The tools work great however if you don't know what exactly your looking for or have questions with product or need help with anything you won't get it.

Secondarily they have a really nice selection of Tomato plants in the spring. If you buy bird seed or grass seed for your lawn somewhere else your wasting your money. Just a random list of things they carry: onion sets, seed potatoes, seed by the Oz. I got enough Arugula seeds for the entire year for a fraction of those stupid seed packets at Blowes (Lowes). There is a small selection of hardware and tools along with candy and lots of WVU knick-knackery.
