My experiences over years doing business with them has been more than excellent. My recent purchase of a sectional couch one of the headrest was not electrically coming up and down.. I called the store immediately thinking what a headache this will be.. To my surprise, the reaction couldn't have been better. I was promised a new piece of the sectional and it would be delivered to me ,a few weeks later by Alex and his wife. They took the day on his personal day off on Saturday and bought me a new piece of the entire sectional took the old one out put the new one in made sure it was working as designed.... I've retired from Mercedes-Benz after 40 years of service customer . Surroundings, Alex and team impeccable service every time all the time.. I had a very frustrating experience with Surrounding Consignment and would not recommend them based on how they handle customers and communication. I returned an item and was told I had a "credit." At no point was it clearly explained that this credit could only be used in-store. Like most customers, I reasonably understood "credit" to mean I could either use it toward a purchase or request a refund. When I explained that I no longer live in the area and asked if they could send me a check instead, I was told no--only after the fact. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. If there are strict policies, they should be clearly communicated upfront, not revealed only when it's inconvenient for the customer. The entire interaction felt misleading and poorly handled. Beyond that, the communication was unprofessional and dismissive. A business should prioritize clarity, fairness, and customer service--none of which I experienced here. I will not be returning and would caution others to be very careful when dealing with this store. read more

Love the merchandise there but I spent A LOT of money there while on a trip in Naples! My couch I purchased was missing a button & it was tuffed so now I have to get it fixed that was 800 my so called CUSTOM king size bed was not so custom it had NO bottom to hold our mattress! What a waste of MONEY!!!! Seriously !!!! I called didn't even get a manager on the phone said not there no phone call back! We were redoing our home so I never unwrapped it I didn't dream it would be missing a bottom! I purchased a headboard for my daughter that is fine! A simple phone call would be nice!!! Now I will shop at the other stores! I'm 2 hours away it's not like I can hop in my car & drive over there! Bad business! & customer service not to even call some one back! I called there two weeks ago to ask about an item I saw online, the gentleman that answered said he was busy and couldn't help me right now, he was actually pretty rude, told me to send an email which I did along with a picture of the item I was interested in, still haven't heard one word from him, P won't shop there again read more

I purchased a table and two night stands and paid a trucking company to go pick it up, and Surroundings didn't give them the table when they arrived. Surroundings said the trucking company didn't ask for it, and I said you had the sales receipt you should have given it to them. Surroundings said, "Well have the trucking company come back and get it", and I replied "no because I have to pay them hourly." I had to arrange to find someone with a truck to go back and pick it up. I live in Naples and Surroundings is in Bonita Springs. They are open Monday-Saturday until 5, and I work Mon-Friday till 5. One time I got there at 4:50 knowing what I wanted to get and figured I would run it and grab it since they close at 5. As soon as I walked in they said "We're closed". I said I thought you close at 5, and a worker in there said, " I have another appointment" They are so rude there, and the customer service there is terrible. read more

They helped get the items picked up from my home, priced them quickly and they were ready to sell within days. No communication subsequent to that except when I received a payment. Would have liked to have known whether my stuff was selling or not. I would use again. read more

If we could leave no stars we would! Left furniture with this company when the consignment time expired we reached a verbal agreement they would extend consignment for another 30 days. When we stopped in 2 weeks later to check they had sold 2 pieces and never contacted us. When questioned they pulled the "your contract has expired" and kept all of the money. I would urge people to not use these criminals. They are shady & can not be trusted. read more

I purchased a new chair and while the price was good for an American manufactured piece the service was poor. They did not return calls and failed to meet promises delivery date. I do not recommend the store. read more

Bought a faux leather chair for $500 here 3 years ago, which has started to peel despite the fact that it gets limited wear - less than 6 mos a yr. The owner no longer carries the chair because of persistent complaints and directed me to contact the manufacturer who "guarantees" only structure. Surroundings first offered me 20% discount for within two on another purchase, and its final offer was $100 off another piece of furniture. Why would anyone want to buy more furniture from a store that doesn't stand by their merchandise!? read more

Their stuff's so nice, they'll sell it twice! Literally ... This review is based on an experience at their other store, since closed, but same operation/owners etc. I found a really great piece that was quite special, unique and definitely one-of-a-kind, fell in love with it, and decided to buy it, but we couldn't take it that day as we had our convertible and needed to come back with a larger vehicle. So, I inquired, was told that's fine, paid for it IN FULL, and went on my way. Three days later while getting ready to go pick it up, I find out THEY SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE! The employee who handled my purchase was abjectly apologetic (as could be expected..) and explained another employee had sold it, and the buyer took it with them. He said he found the "SOLD" tag on the floor when he came in the next day. No idea whose fault this was, the clerk, a dodgy customer, or whatever, but I was not happy to say the least. Of course they refunded my money in full, which was literally the very least they could have done. So, buyer beware, if you see something ( I wouldn't even go back, after this...) , take it with you because even if you pay for it there's no guarantee it'll be there when you go to get it. I realize it's only 'stuff', no one died or was injured; but this was a unique item which could not be found anywhere else. :( read more
