She is responsive and on the occasions I have needed blood work been gentle and never left a bruise. While I realize no one can guarantee that I appreciate the results so far! Dr Anne has been a great resource for good referrals to specialists when necessary. I recently had a test which turned out to have good results. She will respond to my texts during off hour questions and always has time to schedule an appointment with me should I or should she feel that is necessary. She has been an excellent resource for referrals to some very good specialists when necessary. Recently she was able to alleviate some anxiety by accessing the results from some tests which turned out to be just fine. However, without her intervention, I would have had to wait. I am very pleased with that level of caring and service. Her assistant, Abby is also pleasant, professional and caring. She is a real boon to the office as Abby is the first person with whom a person interacts when visiting the office. I have never had to wait more that just a couple of minutes for my schuduled appointment. In addition, Abby has drawn blood from my arm with no pain and no bruising. While I certainly know this is not a for sure in the future, so far she has done really well and I appreciate that too!! I completely recommend Dr. Anne and Abby.

Dr. Medhane is patient, caring and thorough. She is quick to respond to phone calls, and will find time for virtual appointment if there are no inpatient appointments available. Her office staff answers the phone in a timely fashion, and follows up as promised. My longtime primary care physician stopped practicing to raise her family, and I bounced around between a couple of doctors, so I consider myself very fortunate to have found Dr. Medhane. I hope she never retires!!

Dr. Urquhart has a significant dance background, and that was important to me. For me, it speaks to a respectful, holistic approach, not centered on pill pushing or popular thought, and an intimate understanding of the mind-body connection. She tested me thoroughly and diagnosed me accurately. I found her to be a critical thinker and compassionate. She was instrumental in finding me find the best surgeons. Her staff is fabulous. Remember it is a stressful job dealing with sick people day in and day out, and helping them get insurance coverage! She also covered up her uncaring, brute mannerism, by telling a senior doctor that she did use a small spectrum, but glossed over and left out that I screamed out in pain telling her no one has ever been that brutal-- and it felt like like I was raped. This is immoral behavior, uncaring, heavy handed like a brute...she should retire to a desk job.

I gave them my new insurance card that has the same member ID as the old one but a different group number than my old card. After my appointment, I noticed that my bill was pretty high and saw I was charged $176 without my consent. This seemed really odd and I called my insurance. I found out they used my old insurance information from my older plan that is no longer active. That's why I owed the full amount. I called their billing department and gave them my new insurance information so they could resubmit with my new insurance information. They said this could take a month or two to process. We're getting close to two months and I have yet to get reimbursed the $176. I was recently told by one of the billing people that one of my claims is in appeal and may not get approved which means I may have to pay the full amount. I told them this was unacceptable given this wasn't my mistake but theirs. This whole thing is stressful and should have never happened. The front desk people need better training because this was a super careless mistake. I'm dealing with so many health issues I really don't need to worry about something else. I get the sense they're short staffed and need to hire more people. I switched to Capital Neurology and Sleep Medicine. My experience here has been a lot better. The front desk people have done ok and my new doctor explains things in detail, is kind and friendly.

Clear Symptoms Completely Dismissed: No Diagnosis, No Treatment…read more I saw Dr. Monica Mannan when I was 19 in college for primary amenorrhea -- I had never had a period in my life -- along with insulin resistance, and other classic pcos symptoms. I was worried and didn't know what was wrong, and I paid privately because insurance would not cover the visits. Dr. Mannan ordered extensive testing, including large blood panels (around 10 vials in one draw), urine tests, screening for Cushing's, a pelvic ultrasound, and more. After all of that, she told me my hormones were "normal," said she didn't know what was wrong, and suggested the NIH. No clear referral was provided, no diagnosis was made, and no treatment options were offered. For a young patient with obvious symptoms, the lack of follow-through or basic clinical care was shocking. A few years later an OB-GYN diagnosed PCOS almost immediately and started treatment that finally initiated my first menstrual cycle. That was medically important because going many years without menstruation increases endometrial cancer risk, something that was never addressed during my care with Dr. Mannan. I am now older and still upset about this experience and the lack of PCOS awareness from an endocrinologist. I lost years dealing with symptoms that should have been treated much earlier. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this doctor.

If you can get her to be undistracted she will talk and explain and readily admit if she is not expert in an "area". I do think her main focus is diabetics. I am seeing her for my Hypoactive thyroid and will continue to do so. Her office help is nice but not always very helpful and sometimes one of them seems overwhelmed. And, yes I have also had problems with getting someone to answer the phone. I think their systems break down alot. If you have the patience to put up with these things than I recc her.
