Star Wars, Harry Potter, Nightmare before Christmas are well represented. There is so much more and not enough space to list it all. Prices are reasonable - at MSRP. Visiting Santa Fe, NM this week, and after an event this evening, we stopped by Susan's Christmas Shop. Just a hole in the wall next to the famous restaurant The Shed... a small shop, but wall to wall, floor to ceiling everything Christmas, year-round! Puts a smile on your face just walking through the door! Kristy was working in the store this evening, and what a pleasure to deal with. We chatted about all kinds of things, and she hunted for 15 minutes to find a companion bunny for the one we bought (Easter, not Christmas! LOL). She even called to the owner to see if an extra one might be stashed somewhere that she didn't know about! She kindly wrapped several items we were carrying (not from the store) so it would be easier for us to carry. What a fun 30 minutes! We'll definitely follow-up with the store to get a 2nd bunny! A very cute, tiny, Christmas shop right off the Plaza. It's aptly named, as Susan herself was manning the store. She told us she's had the shop for 40 years. Susan told us the best-selling ornament she has are actually ones her daughter made. They're the dried red chile peppers painted as Santa. They're incredibly cute and only $10! I got one, which Susan boxed and bagged for me. The shop has some miniature kachina dolls made by artisan brothers, Christmas ornaments, Christmas nativity displays, and other Christmas items. Susan was friendly and helpful. She told us we'd be back now that we'd discovered it, and I'm confident she'll be right! read more

This tiny shop has been around for years and is full of little holiday treasures. Ornaments, figurines, and cards fill the shop and make the perfect keepsake to remember Santa Fe or to give someone a special piece of local art. I started a collection over 20-years ago and stop in each year to add to that collection. I'm not telling what it is, for fear they will all be gone before I stop by this year! The owner is lovely. She and the staff are very friendly, and knowledgeable about the local artist that their shop features. It's tiny, so you may have to sit on the little bench outside the door until there is room inside to shop. It's worth the wait to explore the treasures inside. read more

I visited New Mexico several years ago and Susan's Christmas shop was one of the places that stood out - unique, handcrafted ornaments that are little pieces of artwork in themselves. This Christmas, I called the store hoping to buy more ceramic ornaments by a particular artist and Susan was super accommodating. Although she only had one left at the time, she offered to ask the artist to make more. Once the new ornaments arrived, Susan texted images for me to choose from and I was able to successfully order by text/phone from Florida. The ornaments arrived with plenty of time before Christmas - packaged very securely - and looked great on the tree. They will be enjoyed for many years to come. This shop is fantastic! It is small and cozy and filled with the most wonderful assortment of Christmas ornaments, some which are local and some that come from all around the world! The staff and Susan, the owner are so kind and thoughtful. I loved stopping in and getting a Christmas gift for my mom, who is also named Susan. They made sure I got a box with the shops name on it and were all so nice to talk to, giving me restaurant advice and telling me about the history of the shop. Fantastic little shop in a charming location. Susan, who herself is wonderful, has been hand-crafting ornaments at this shop since she settled down in Santa Fe in the '60s. She's also been a regular at the Shed, which she will tell you all about, since then! Her crafts are gorgeous and she will give you excellent recommendations on things to do in Santa Fe and beyond (she recommended that we try La Posada restaurant while passing through Arizona on our road trip) if you strike up a conversation with her.
