Me and my daughter took a class with Susan where we made a suncatcher. The experience was incredible! The class is perfect for beginners with mainly simple cuts, but it also had some trickier areas so you could learn how to approach harder designs. She was very helpful throughout the whole process and explained every concept well with demonstrations of the correct way to do it. I just completed the full length class. Susan supplied everything I need and after completion of the class I feel equipped to start my own projects. I love the piece she helped me create and her instructional style is relaxed and insightful. She can quickly correct and improve my technique and the lessons stick. I am so happy with my experience with Susan teaching me how to make stained glass creations! She is an amazing, patient and talented artist who taught me step by step everything that I was wanting to learn about making stained glass art. I was so lucky to find Susan as my teacher. I came across Susan's Stained Glass Creations while searching on line.. after reading the first couple of reviews, I called and signed up! They say, Good things come to those who wait, Boy am I glad I waited all these years! Susan is the Best of the Best! She has all the top qualities you want in an instructor, as well as a person! She truly wants you to succeed and does everything and anything to get you there! She is calm, kind and extremely patient and her love for what she truly enjoys, shines through while she shares her knowledge and talents with you! The atmosphere is always very welcoming, comfortable and friendly. There were always a lot of laughs and could not wait for my next class! Susan quickly went from an instructor to a Friend! My mother loves stained glass, it's her favorite. Throughout the years I have had trouble finding good quality pieces of stained glass until November of 2018 when I stumbled across Susan's products online. After getting one piece of art from her that my mom fell in love with it was a no brainer to keep coming back. Susan is flexible, respectful, and engaged in regards to her products and interactions with you as a customer. My husband and I just completed a class with Susan today. It was a great class!!! Susan had everything prepared for the class and spent time up front giving very thorough directions and tips. She was with us the entire time to give guidance where needed...which was a lot as this was our first ever class. The design she picked for us turned out to be really pretty and because of her patience, we were able to complete it. Susan is a great patient teacher who gives support and encouragement the whole time you are learning. We hope to take another class with her as soon as we can. What a great experience! Stained glass has always been an obsession of mine, and Susan has fed the obsession. From beginner to advanced, Susan is capable, committed, sensitive, supportive, and helpful to all. Creating a piece in stained glass is an extensive process, but she patiently and thoroughly guides you each step of the way. When you have completed the course, the sense of accomplishment is priceless. She provides all glass, tools, and materials which is also quite helpful. Her garage is the perfect studio. Susan is THE best. My Dad and i had been looking for a beginner-to-intermediate stained glass course. However, we wanted it to be hands-on. After researching different options (that weren't ideal due to lack of flexibility, proximity to Charlotte, not hands on, etc.) I stumbled upon Susan's Stained Glass Creations website. I reached out and got an immediate response. Our summer was busy, but she was super flexible. The course is nicely divided into four ~3 to 4 hour sessions, which is perfect. You learn one big step of the process in each session (choosing pattern/glass, cutting/grinding, foiling/sodering). She's so helpful (but let's you do everything yourself) and adjusts her teaching to your skill level. Just the best, worth every penny and more!! read more
