The sushi selection is outstanding, the Tom Tom Roll is one we really enjoyed, California Roll was awesome, and the appetizers such as the shrimp tempura and the fresh salad were some of the best we've had from a sushi spot, and we've eaten in hundreds of them over the years. The rice on the rolls is tender and fresh, the ingredients the same and the prices very reasonable. We had a great dinner for two, with 4 rolls, two salads, one shrimp tempura for just over 50 bucks! I added a new set of instructions the second time around and I'm glad the staff followed it closely. The drive from Montreal is a good hour, so we opted to stay in Laval. Much better might have been to rent an Airbnb in Mirabel. Next time. Because there simply must be a next time. For one fixed price (about $95 CAN), you are treated to course after course after course of the most delicious food crafted in the Québécois countryside. Everything has maple. Everything is the best thing you've ever tasted. I just wanted to slow down time and make this night last forever. Because it was just two of us, we lucked out and got seats at the bar instead of sharing a big communal table. Our two barkeeps were excellent- so friendly, plus knowledgeable and enthusiastic about every dish they served us. I had read that seasoned diners know to bring their own plastic containers for leftovers, so I too tucked a few into my bag. Do the same. Especially by the time you reach the flight of desserts at the meals end, one simply cannot consume that much food in one sitting. I will be dreaming of this epic meal for years to come.
