This is a very small restaurant with only a couple of tables and a few seats at the bar. They were doing quite a lot of take out business as well, including my own order which was prepared quickly and ready for me in a few minutes. Back at the hotel room, I unwrapped it and dug in. Very nicely assembled, tight rolls. I had chosen ones with no sauce, which kept them firm and dry. As for the flavor? Fresh! Totally would recommend Sushi Palax! read more

The food was good. Sushi tasted pretty fresh, the gyoza was good, salad was nice. Our female server was very sweet. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because while we were there (for about 45 minutes) TWO separate employees ate dinner at separate times. This wasn't the issue. The issue being that this place is TINY, had zero music playing, and these employees had the absolute worst manners I've ever seen when it came to eating. Loud slurping, chewing with their mouths open, food falling out of their mouths, spitting food out onto the TABLE (which got wiped off solely with a dry towel after) and just the most god awful sounds you could ever imagine. My boyfriend and I literally almost lost our appetite. It was making us sick. This sounds like something really stupid to complain about but if you saw it/heard it you would know what I meant. Not to mention these people were about 2 feet from us and had absolutely no self awareness that they were being disgusting while eating. The food was good but I won't go back because of this. When the first guy finished eating and I saw the second one come out I assumed there was no way he could be as bad, but it was actually worse. Horrible experience just because of that, honestly. I decided to take a short walk from where I was waiting for my car to be repaired, and I'm sooo glad I did!! I was only a little hungry, and this hit the spot! I ordered the lunch special with two hand rolls and a salad, the hand rolls were SOOOOOO tasty!!! I got the eel avocado and the shrimp avocado. I wish I was from around here so I can come back soon!! After the gentleman picked up the phone and asked how I could be helped, I simply said; "Yes, I'd like to place an order for delivery." Very tiny place but worth the cramped sitting. Got it on the way home from snowboarding and it was amazing. I got the spider roll and the sweet potato roll, but we're great. It's a small little building, but don't let that steer you away from them. The food is delicious and the staff are so friendly. Every time my husband and I walk in we always leave with smiles on our faces. We have ordered A LOT of sushi from here and were never disappointed with it. Excellent food!!! My favorites are the beef and broccoli, Kung pao beef ,and Beef on a stick. The vegetables are always crisp and fresh, meat is tender, and the Beef on stick seasoning is great.
