I was a client of Margie H. Strider for many years . A couple years ago I went to office to give…read moreher my tax information, she said she did not have time for me and my taxes. I ask her why and she couldn't give me a good answer. She also said that she was not taking new clients. I had a good friend of mine call her on the same day she refused to do my taxes, Margie told her to come right up there she could help her. She then gave my friend a date and time to come in and get her taxes prepared. By then my friend had called and talked with me and told me she was getting her taxes done by Marige Strider. I told her that Margie had refused to do my taxes the same day she accepted her as a new client! Then my friend called Margie and told her why did she agree to do her taxes and not mine? I ask, why did Margie refuse/lie to me when I asked her to prepare my taxes as she had done many years before? She could not give an good answer to my friend. After finding this out, I called Margie back questioning as my friend had done, why she had refused to do my taxes and in the same day accept new clients. I said to Margie why did you lie to me? She could not give me a definitive answer. I think she like to discriminates. As I had to find a new tax preparer and in their review of my past tax returns that Margie had completed the new firm said that it looked like I had paid taxes where I should have had done so! I Do Not Recommend Margie Strider for the Preparation of Anybody's Taxes!!

Marissa was very knowledgeable and informative about every service and made sure that I had every question answered. She walked me through every step of the way. In the beginning of the process, there was a presentation that laid out details of the service that she recommended best for me and why, and more. She showed examples and went through numbers with me every step of the way as I at times ask a lot of questions. The turn-around time for questions answered via email is rapid. Service overall was great. After I put in application for the policy/account, I saw a medical examiner and boom, I was all set up. She corresponded with me as well as with the medical examiner who was also really nice and down to earth. Once every thing was set up, Marissa sent me a book as gift which I thought was a great gesture to finish off the process. I would definitely recommend her services as I learned a lot and benefited greatly.

They only performed partial bookkeeping, miscategorized several business expenses without confirming them, and failed to identify standard write-offs, amongst other issues. The quality was so poor that I ultimately decided to stop working with them before they could complete my personal and business tax return. Despite acknowledging the issues and agreeing to a partial refund, they later backtracked and refused to return any of my money. I paid for services I never received, which is theft, dishonest and unethical. This firm is incompetent, unresponsive, and untrustworthy. If you're looking for a CPA who delivers on what they promise, look elsewhere.
