A Hong Kong style shopping mall in Sydney. From the street, it doesn't look like too much, a bunch of Asian DVD stores and Asian boutiques. But go up the escalators to Level 3, and you'll be greeted with a vast food court with 12 or so vendors offering a variety of cuisines including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Thai. There is even some of that wonderfully wacky Hong Kong cafe food on offer. In my opinion you can't go wrong with any of the stalls, at all the ones i've tried anyway the food has been cheap, tasty, authentic and filling, can't complain at that. It's squeaky clean, modern and bright as well, much cleaner than other food courts such as Dixon House or Eating World.
There is also a full bar, offering a wide variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, as well as Asian desserts. The food court can get a little crowded at times, but there are often spare seats at the back, by the Korean joint.
There is a place (Ajisai) that sells sushi and sashimi for $1 a pop, it has become my go-to place if I want a quick, cheap snack, I don't think i've seen sushi or sashimi that cheap anywhere in Sydney. Amazing. read more
