Our daughter will not be able to live correctly in a homeless shelter. She needs 24 hours care, she is not able to take care of daily living skills having a Bipolar Schizoaffective disorder. They want her to sign papers on Monday 23, 2023 to start the discharge process. I do not understand how this place is supposed to help people with mental issues and just throw them in the street. They mentioned they are looking for a better place but if they do not have one in 30 days she goes to a homeless shelter. How can our health system do this to people who can not help themselves? Their reason is they can not handle her mental illness behaviors, so they send her to a homeless shelter. It takes a lot of time to find another facility, a lot of paperwork 30 days is not enough. She deserves to be treated with dignity, she did not ask to be mentally ill. Our daughter needs someone to give her meds and make sure she's doing the needed thing to live correctly. As her family we can not provide her with this, we tried very hard but we needed serious help. Plus, we are older now and can not keep up with her behaviors like a full-staff facility can. If she goes into a homeless shelter we will lose her to the streets, and without her meds, she will not be alive long. Plus, Mayor Adams talked about our city and mentioned the issues of the homeless and mentally ill being disregarded, how can this be right? Can someone please help us or give suggestions? We are looking for a lawyer that handles cases like our daughter's or a Supervised Support Housing Facility that deals with mentally ill adults, We agree she needs a more Supervised Facility but we need more time to locate one for her. Insurance is Medicaid We just reaching out for Lawyer or Supervised Support Housing Facility Thank you All

I have been a resident for a few months now and I highly recommend it. The location is extraordinary. It is on a quiet street, but two blocks from the hustle and bustle of downtown Flushing with its many stores and transportation options. Manhattan is an easy commute, just a 5-minute walk to the LIRR station and a 15-minute ride to Penn Station or Grand Central. I work part-time in Manhattan, and I've never had an easier commute! Queens College, with its plays and excellent musical offerings, is a quick ride on a nearby bus. Flushing Town Hall with its stellar jazz program is four blocks away. The beautiful Flushing Library is an easy walk, as is Macy's and one of the best pizzerias in Queens. Here at Flushing House itself, there are many interesting offerings - book club, language clubs, exercise programs, both domestic and foreign movies, and a lovely rooftop atrium that is open 24 hours a day. There are many food options at each meal and, once you realize all the choices you have ( on and off the menu) you can always find something you like. One can pick up meals and take them back to one's apartment, but the communal dining room has been a way for me to meet other residents and make the acquaintance of some lovely people. The staff is kind, hardworking and understanding with residents (even when a resident might be cranky!). My apartment is very sunny, clean, and comfortable, and weekly housekeeping is included. If you are an active older adult wondering what the next step in life should be, come to one of the frequent open houses that Flushing House hosts and see for yourself. You may find, as I did, that it is a lovely place in a great location with a price that is very reasonable considering all that is included.

She was professional, personable, extremely knowledgeable, patient, empathetic, caring, ............. I could go on and on with superlatives, but I'm sure you get the picture. She made what would normally would be a very stressful situation, just the opposite. We felt both seen and heard. The tour lasted 3 hours, but we never felt rushed, pressured or patronized. This allowed my wife and me to ask all the questions and get all the information needed to make an informed decision! Thank you Marlo, you are the best!!

He was always treated with the utmost respect and received exceptional care. Everyone from the staff at the reception desk to the office staff to the nursing staff and personal care staff were all wonderful to him and our entire family. In fact we believe that living at the Brandywine in Little Neck extend our Dad's life probably by years. We will always cherish the many good times we spent there celebrating holidays and his birthdays. The Brandywine at the Savoy gets our highest recommendation. Jerry P. Jr.

They treated my mom with respect, love, and good humor. The place is clean, has lovely furnishings and decorations (which my mom always liked!), and a good variety of different places for seniors to visit, sit, and walk. There were always fun events planned for the seniors, including parties, concerts, crafts, movies, Bingo, lectures, and more. I loved receiving a daily email from the facility with information about the menu and events so I could remind mom about fun things to do. As the years progressed, mom had increasingly challenging health issues, but the folks at Brandywine scaled up their support and took such good care of her. I was able to go to work every day knowing that she was in good hands. And I also feel that Brandywine didn't just care for Mom, but they were also so supportive of our family at each stage of my Mom's decline - they were kind, caring, knowledgeable, and served as thoughtful partners in my caregiving. I am especially appreciative of Asif in the Wellness Center, Janet in Customer Care, Lisa (one of the caregivers), Jeremy at the front desk (who put up with my constant phone calls!), Toni in the business office, and everyone else whose names I missed. Each time I drive past Brandywine I miss mom, but I am thankful that she was able to spend her final years of life in the care of such wonderful people. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a caring community for their loved one.
