They treat my dog like a king, and truly look after him as if he were home. (or better yet). Whenever he sees their van pull up, he is ready to just jump in so he can be wisked off to his spa for his holiday. I never ever have to worry about him, as they treat him like one of their own. This Kennel is highly recommended for short or long term stays. They are clean, and have a lot of space for off lease entertainment.

We tired one kennel just outside of Cochrane only to have our dog returned home filthy (had been peed on by other dog) his bed was all peed on and our groomer found a cut on his foot the next day... so we were very on guard as we continue to search for another kennel - that's when we tried Country Tails. Dave and Cathy are fantastic and it is clear they love and are commitment to running a safe and fun Country Tails Kennel. They quickly put you at ease, and our dogs loved them!! Last time we dropped them off at the kennel, our older dog (who had been there before) didn't even look back at us but pulled the staff member into the back to be with the other dogs - he's only ever done this at our old kennel before our move ...that speaks volumes to us!! Sadly our shitzu is no longer with us but Tanis is just as happy to take our new dog (a Great Dane/mastiff cross) as well as the terrier who has never been as comfortable staying with someone as he is with Tanis.

As a person who is very particular, some what OCD about the care of Buttons, as well, I was very nervous as Buttons was recently sick with a urinary tract infection and needed special attention and medication dispensing. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Cat Next Door was a thorough, attentive and a genuine lover of cats! Melanie came over for a meet and greet with Buttons and competed a full assessment of her needs and was very relaxed and gentle with my temperamental kitty. She wasn't nervous and picked her up right away, and Buttons surprisingly enough let her! While I was away, Melanie sent pictures and notes about how she was doing, went the extra mile and brought her toys, spent time playing with her, ensuring her litter was clean, dishes were cleaned and refilled with food, even heated her wet food for her so she would eat more! Buttons is a snacker so this was great to discover! When I arrived home, Melanie had left daily notes of what was done during visits, net moods, behaviours, how much time was spent with her and was tasks were done. My apartment was just as spotless as I left it, Buttons was relaxed and happy! I…read morewas nervous deciding which service to go with in Airdrie/Calgary area but Melanie went over all of their credentials and pet sitting procedures and I was very impressed. They also take care of dogs / other animals or just water your plants if you are away. The meet and greet interview covered all of my concerns. I can't say enough about her. You can tell she truly cares about your pet, from her abilities to deal with special needs, her pet CPR certifications and how much my cats took to her right away. They still look for her in the front door after for days after we come home! I love the fact that she texted us pictures and updates after every visit, and even left us toys for my cats. Krista and her family will never know the impact she has had on our life and how much she meant to Koda. If you want the perfect family to watch your dog, then you have found it here. Koda had been having trouble for a couple days and when krista came in the room she perked right up and wagged her tail and bayed as if she wasn't sick. If you need any more evidence than that, you won't find it.
