I was a little concerned about taking lessons at my age but Steve has been great! I've seen plenty of other adult students in my comings and goings which has made me feel more comfortable and Steve's demeanor and attitude are super welcoming. He has great depth of knowledge but knows how to scale it so it's never intimidating. I've learned a lot in the six months I've been going to him and look forward to learning more. He also has an excellent setup for teaching with both an excellent instruction room and a separate waiting area. Can't recoment him highly enough, been a great experience so far!

We explored all other centers on the west side of Madison and Pooh Bear is an absolute winner! The best part about it is teachers. We haven't had a single teacher who wasn't just outstanding! We always felt comfortable leaving our babies in there. They were very well cared for. All teacher are incredibly kind, patient, loving and devoted. They really do put an extra effort into everything they do. We've got so many treasured presents made by kids, but designed by teachers. They organize super fun holiday events. Their graduation ceremony was quite impressive as for a preschool. They are also super flexible. And they have a wonderful cook who makes delicious nutritious meals for the kids. We miss it so. Highly recommend! Educational component is also very good!

She learned so much and also had a lot of fun with her friends there! More recently, our son who was born prematurely also started to attend the nursery at La Petite. His teachers made sure he receives the best possible care and we were really happy to witness the enormous progress he made since he started there! In addition to the classroom activities, there are also tones of fun activities throughout the year for the little ones as well as their families, including family picnics at the center, trick or treating for Halloween or ice cream socials. My son has lots of energy, and other places have shown zero patience, but Mr. Mark and Miss Lauren were excellent with him from the beginning. Miss Lauren is now in the office with Miss Sheena, who is also awesome, but you could still be lucky enough to get Mr. Mark as your kid's teacher. I will detail below what we loved most about the school. 1. The curriculum was good, and my 4 year old son knows a ton of sight words. There is a detailed report that comes out every day about what the kids are learning, and they even started teaching them chess. I also love that there is structured learning without the classes being so ridged that a large portion of the kids can't sit through lessons. We've experienced places with no patience that have caused me to lose my patience based on the way my son has been treated. Not here.. great education while still understanding the needs of small children. They also have a large gym for the kids to blow off steam in bad weather. 2. The staff and owners go above and beyond to make this place special for kids, and make parents comfortable. My husband even observed one of the owners helping another parent change a flat tire. They had a Santa for the kids at Christmas, hosted Trunk or Treat for Halloween, and provided a free session with a nutritionist to help parents with picky eaters. Never have I felt so confident that we had partners in the process of raising up our son, and I have never known a daycare where I felt more confident that they actually cared about my child. 3. The children are happy. You can see it in all the pictures. You can see it in their attitudes. My son made good friends here, and still asks to see them. There is also a ton of parent involvement. We ended up moving for a job, and I actually cried over pulling my son from this school. When you've had bad experiences, you truly appreciate the really good ones. I am grateful for our time at Goddard Verona and would encourage any parents reading this review to enroll.

It's not a struggle to get him out the door and to school. He knows where he's going and looks forward to it. The teachers are great and the lesson plans are creative, educational and FUN. There's a great variety of things for the kids to do. The facility is brand new and with exceptional amenities and security. The Director and Owners are on-site and very involved. They've even got my son eating his vegetables (since snacks AND lunch are provided). Lots of pros. I have not encountered any cons yet. As of now, we could not be more satisfied with ALL the school has to offer!! I would refer, and have referred other parents to the school.

Caught "Little Shop of Horrors" at Verona High School last night, and was very happy we did!!…read more Initially I was reluctant to attend because I did not have good memories of the movie made years ago. But, I LOVED this live version! Great singing and acting, plus lots of toe tapping and laughing made for a A+ night out. My favorite Singers were the Audreys: Audrey (1) and Audrey 2. They were so different, yet both so incredibly talented! The entire cast, orchestra and production staff did an exception job! Special kudos to the puppeteer that made Audrey 2 really come alive. She really got a workout. It may not be great for small children as there is little profanity and finger jestures. Adults will definitely enjoy this musical!
