So glad I did. it was pretty packed when we got ther, we were able to get a high top table after just a few minutes wait. Ordered the beef tartare and schnitzel. Be forewarned, they don't skimp on the portions here. The tartare was delicious and came with a salad and about a half of stick of butter, which was interesting. Schnitzel was big enough to feed at least two people and left me feeling like I had finally experienced a real local meal. I was worried this place was over-hyped and more of a place you have to "check off the list" than somewhere you want to eat because of the food. Then once they opened the doors other groups of people completely ignore the line outside and just start rushing in. They're in absolutely no rush to seat you so don't have any hope that they'll let you in early. Once you're seated the service is pretty fast. The schnitzel is quite large and good for sharing. I had the original schnitzel with pork. It was thin and crispy but under seasoned in my opinion. The potato salad was the star for me I could have had one all to myself. It was creamy, a little sweet, and tangy. I also tried the soup with clear beef broth and sliced pancakes. Nothing memorable but a nice clean soup if you're in the mood.

Service was extremely slow the whole time, from ordering, to getting drinks and refills, to food arrival, but during the meal was not bad enough to complain. Then, it got terrible. After finishing our meal, I had to ask for three things FIVE TIMES and it took the server 45 minutes to deliver: 1) More water 2) A to-go box for leftovers 3) The bill to pay. 45 minutes after the first request, a server finally brings all 3 things and tells me the total without showing an itemization or mentioning a tip. I tap my card to pay, and then he hands me two receipts: the one from the computer showing each item totaling €204, and the one from the credit card machine showing a higher total of €220. I was not told about a tip and did not authorize a tip. Even in America, I would not be leaving a tip if the server took 45 minutes to deliver those three things at the end of my meal. Tips are based on good service, and this service was awful. I confronted the server about this, and he said "Oh but you said €220 was okay!" ... yes, because you said that was the total of the food, you mentioned nothing about a tip. Then as I continued to protest, another server grabbed the receipts out of my hand and kicked my friend and I out of the restaurant. Our significant others had already gone outside due to the extremely long delay. From what I can tell of Austrian law, there were several possible crimes. Fraud for not telling me about the tip, and robbery or theft along with the other things listed below for grabbing the receipts out of my hand. I do not even know if the original €204 was accurate since I could not examine the receipt. After reading some other reviews, I am apparently not the only person he has done this to!
