Not helpful. Couldn't answer my questions clearly and did not seem knowledgeable about medications.

Dear Pinnacle Dermatology Management,…read more I am writing to express serious concerns regarding a recent appointment with Physician Assistant Jessica Becker. My experience was profoundly unsatisfactory and fell short of professional standards. During my visit, Ms. Becker's demeanor was notably unpleasant and dismissive, conveying a clear reluctance for a hands-on examination. The consultation felt rushed, lasting only a few minutes, which left me with numerous unanswered questions about my condition. Furthermore, crucial information regarding my prescribed medication was not explained; instead, I was instructed to consult the pharmacy or read the instructions myself. This lack of thoroughness and patient engagement made me feel disregarded as a patient. I found the overall approach to be unprofessional and inadequate, leading me to conclude that I cannot recommend Pinnacle Dermatology based on this experience. I definitely felt a disconnection on my first visit and will never return. Wasted time, money and waited a month for this appointment.

After waiting all that time and showing up to the appointment, they suddenly told me that this office does not even provide that service. It was a complete waste of my time. The whole experience felt very unprofessional and misleading. It honestly seemed like the appointment was scheduled just so they could bill the insurance rather than actually help the patient. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

This gave me such joy because I was having some type of severe allergic reaction that was happening on my face. NOT a good look at all. I never had problems with my skin before, so I was kirking out! I know people were looking at me like, "I wonder what kind of disease she's walking around with". My face looked like I had the measles. I arrived early to fill out the necessary new patient insurance information. The receptionists were very nice and professional. Dr. Hwang's assistant called me in the office 15 minutes later and asked me a couple of questions and then the Dr. came in. Dr. Hwang looked at my face and told me that I had some type of reaction going on in my body that resulted in this severe overnight acne. He wrote me a prescription and gave me a coupon (even though I didn't need it with my insurance), and sent me on my way. I am happy to report that the medicine worked immediately. I plan on visiting my allergist next week to find out what other allergies I have developed that caused this problem. I am so happy that I found Dr. Hwang.

The reception staff isn't the most professional. The lady in the front was eating while taking my payment. I'm talk a full on meal, not a snack. The overbooked patients for the one doctor. I had about a 1/2 hour wait to see the doctor aside from the 15 minutes that I showed up early. The one bathroom in the office was so dirty. It looked like a rest stop bathroom and the hot water doesn't work. I mean, you turn it on and nothing happens. That's nasty! I'm in a doctor's office, a dermatologist at that, which means a few people have something skin related that's probably contagious. I know for sure, if they went to the bathroom, they did not wash their hands properly. That is nasty! Now, to the 3rd world patient's room. While walking down the hall to the room that I'll be examined in, the doctor was preforming a removal of something on this topless hairy guy's back. Why am I seeing this! Is there no discretion and respect for their patient's in this office. The door was wide open and they kept it that way during the whole procedure. I've never experienced anything like that from a doctor's office. Now to my examination. It was the shortest exam ever. I felt rushed or like I was bothering him asking too many questions. Don't get me wrong, he's nice and maybe his 2 minute diagnosis without touching or taking a skin sample is correct. Maybe he's just that good. But, I was not and am not convinced, solely off of the time I had already spent in his office. In conclusion, God willing, I will not return. Even if his diagnosis is correct. I won't return based off of the poorly managed office that gives me the impression that they don't have any respect for their patients.

I stupidly thought that Dr. Robert would be the same. After scratching and itching with getting some kind of rash for the last couple months I figured a dermatology appointment was in order. I have an amazing guy dog travels with me and she does her job well. From the moment that Dr. Robert came in the room he barely acknowledged me and kept talking to the dog. This is so demeaning. Once I told him what I was going through, he started telling me that I was probably imagining things and that he did not see any type of skin issues. I recently struggled with an issue in my home that present itself with hives and such so he basically told me it probably was a mind thing in my head. The whole time he had his back to me. It was just a horrible experience and makes me wonder what people think of blind people. I am a blind professional and pay my own bills but unfortunately in the publics opinion that still makes me less. Finally when I was at my wits end and was just about to tell him to get lost, he promptly says bye to the dog and just walks out of the room. I am like OK, do I even exist or what? I definitely do not recommend this place and I am not going there in the future. The only reason why I am giving it three stars is because the front office staff was amazing.

I tried to call to schedule an appointment and could not reach the office. They asked me a bunch of questions and was on the phone for 20 minutes only for them to transferred me to the nurse station. There is no way to even call the office without now going through Sentara. When I finally got through with the nurse they send me to the ER. My doctor would have never send me to the ER for just and UTI. They do not care about the "Personal" interaction any more. I hate this office now. I miss my doctor a lot and the small office not some robotic agency. Dr. John was a great doctor and was very personal in the past. I'm guessing the change to be Sentara was a business decision that relieves Dr. John and his previous staff of day to day issues but it's a horrible change!!! Now we can't even talk to the office. If this is now the new normal with the change to Sentara it's definitely not patient oriented or in anyone's best interest. Actively looking for another doctor.
