We stopped by Poulin Lumber, as it was close and that there was not a Lowes, or Home Depot within about 50 miles. Poulin Lumber is a small lumber yard and hardware store that sells Ace products. On Memorial Day Weekend, they had a tent sale which had some nice clearance items out under a tent. Fun to browse. Inside must have been 85 degrees and packed with people busy getting stuff for their Memorial Day Weekend projects. My deal with place is that the prices are quite high compared to what I am used to. Example: Pool Noodle: $4.25. I can get these at Wal-Mart or Xmas Tree shop for a buck. My hose was almost $25 for only 20 feet! Good things my purchases were limited. Service was friendly and helpful. I would return again if in a bind.

It is hard to find waiters, repairmen, cashiers, or store clerks who genuinely care about their customers and love what they do. This company is the company that my landlord uses so I had to use them for my recent issue having to do with my washer/dryer. The dryer vent came detached when I was trying to retrieve the toolkit that fell behind my washer when I was getting some laundry detergents pods on a top shelf. Unfortunately, I was then unable to wash or dry clothes for the fear that something could overheat and start a fire if the toolkit's fabric caught on to the electrical wire. I know my situation wasn't that big of an emergency but I contacted my landlord to have them come to help me move out the stacked washer/dryer, reattach the dryer vent tubing back, and retrieve my toolkit. My landlord said they would be at my apartment at 8am the following day. They never showed as they had informed him they had other emergencies to attend to. The second time around I emailed my landlord asking them when they would be by and he said, the next day same time (8am). Well, the next day comes (today) and I had this gut feeling the same thing would happen again. Lo and behold it did. I decided to take matters into my own hands and call them myself directly ahead of time and I spoke with Pat himself who informed me very non-chalantly that they "forgot" again. Now, I try to keep my cool because you don't fight fire with fire, but this was terrible customer service. I informed my landlord of this and told him what my plan was (to get another repairman) and mind you my landlord was going to cover the cost of the repair, but I decided it best that I do things on my own. So I paid out of pocked and booked another repairman with a good review which was PHB in Saint Albans. It did not cost an arm and a leg and I even tipped him extra. What's even worse is that when I reached out to Mr. Menard of Facebook messenger as i was able to locate his business there (I am like an unofficial cyber sleuth/detective lol) and explained to him how dissatisfied I was with his customer service, he proceeds to act like we never met or spoke, like nothing ever happened which to him I replied, "Well I guess, I'll be recording my calls from now on then to help jog your memory." I am not one to get snippy or have a good quip or comeback, but it is a shame as I used them before to help repair my sink. I explained to my landlord that I was disrespected as Mr. Menard literally told me, "Are you going to put on a performance for us?" and would feel uncomfortable with them around me in my home. It is sad how rude people can be these days or just lack common courtesy. I worked in hospitality as a server for over ten years and Intreated each guest as a priority, even the rude, demanding, irate ones. I made sure everyone left the restaurant happy. I am disappointed to even be making this review but customer service was terrible and as a woman I was disrespected over the phone. I will mot tolerate being harassed or disrespected ever, by anyone or anything. I highly recommend you check out Pro Home and Business Solutions and ask for Brian. He was kind, respectful, and cared. Hopefully Mr. Menard doesn't try to do anything foolish after reading this review, but justice, fairness, and respect are important to me, even if it's just booking with a repair company.

Long story shortened, I was trying to get directed to an item I wanted to purchase. Some confusion on the associates end made him think I was being rude and loud with his 2 fellow associates up front. I understand there is always 2 sides to every story, but in this case this is it. I tried telling the associate, who I will say was in his 70s maybe?, there was no issue i tend to speak loud as I was a veteran that was around loud artillery in the Army. This old creep plainly said, I dont care about you or whoever claims to be a vet.... Well alrighty, thats fine, but is being at work a good place to let us know that. I did call and report the issue to management, she apologized and asked for the names of the associates involved, which I didnt know. She said that makes it difficult, I agreed. But, it isn't hard to look back at the security cams and go from there. Im not looking to get anybody wrongfully fired, but in this case I think I would fire the involved participants. This guy is about 5 ft 5, skinny, shortened gray to darker hair looks like he is in his late 70s and has an anger issue. I see these nasty attitudes more and more in stores with these associates. They aren't helpful, they are dismissive, rude, nasty attitudes and I feel they just want to collect a check for doing very, very little. No, not everyone is like that, but for these people, right on.the nose a accurate. I would not so readily sign up to serve my country again if these are the types I protect. Yeah, might sound like I am rambling, but if it was you or you saw this situation happen, you may look at it differently. No wonder these stores are going to online delivery services. We purchased a pellet stove from McCuin O C & Sons about four years ago. The day they installed it,…read morethey were professional, incredibly courteous, and definitely impressed us. Other contractors we've had in the home (from plumbers to electricians) have left messes for us to clean up or failed to show up when promised. McCuin didn't do any of that. The Harman they sold us has been an amazing stove that's given us no problems over the years. It heats the entire house and has virtually eliminated our need to rely on more expensive propane. The wood stove we have in the basement and the pellet stove in our living room has been more than enough. After this very long, cold winter, it started making a horrible squealing noise on Monday, fingernails on the chalkboard bad, and they had someone out within a day to look at it. The same guy who installed it came out and fixed it. Turned out a bearing in the auger was going. That they had the part on the truck and fixed it right there and then definitely impressed us. If you're looking for a pellet stove, I have nothing but high praise for the guys at McCuin and highly recommend them.
