The floors had dead flowers all over, the chairs looked like they hadn't been dusted in years, the podium provided for the pastor to use looked like it had been dug out of some dirty barn. The heat lamps in the ceiling weren't turned on so it was about 30 degrees in there. It was pretty embrassing for family to see that. I would NOT recommend this place for your loved one.

When my Mom died in 2013 we went in to make a few last minute arrangements. When they found out that my Mom was the grandniece of my grandma's Aunt Bessie, they moved her funeral from one of the back rooms to the front room, without us requesting it. I was looking to stay along the I-75 corridor to make it easiest for the people attending to navigate (funeral home, then cemetery, then restaurant all very close to the freeway). As it turned out, the people at Hill were wonderful to deal with for my father's funeral service. Michelle was very prompt with email and phone interactions. Theresa met with us, took the notes, made the plans and, from there on out, looked after ALL of the details for us. The facility itself is perfect. We did not have a religious person to call on for the actual memorial service part but Theresa was able to find us a lovely pastor by the name of Sarah who did a great job. As a family we were delighted with the services that Hill provided for us and would highly recommend them to anyone else requiring their services; especially if they needed to coordinate with Great Lakes military cemetery.

Don't even know what the ground policies are and they don't give them to you when you pay for a lot. It is a nice cemetery, but they ( grounds keepers and staff ) should not remove or do anything to you marker unless they contact you ahead of time to let you know the rules are being broken.
