I knew exactly what I wanted and he was more than willing to oblige, as well as offer examples of ceremonies he had done previously. For music, we had our major songs picked out, but left the rest of the evening up to Craig. Our friends STILL talk about how awesome the music was, more than five years later. We got married in a barn and the dance floor had to be replaced after our wedding from our guests dancing and jumping on it ALL night. The dance floor was literally packed during the entire reception. I can't say enough about Craig. I would work with him again in a heart beat!

Craig was great in the run up to the wedding - he answered our questions, helped us work on both a playlist and a ceremony script, and communicated with our coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of. We are so glad we had Craig do the music and officiating for our ceremony. Stacy played all our music on cue and Craig was a great officiant. He let us have complete control over everything we wanted to do and say, respected the vibe we said we wanted, and of course most importantly sent in our marriage license as soon as he was able. We also got SO many compliments on his DJing from all our guests. He played the songs we asked for while also being able to read the room and know what songs would or wouldn't go over well. We had people dancing from the second the floor opened till we closed it down at midnight. Shoutout to Stacy as well who went above and beyond to help a family member with shuttle information when she totally didn't have to. All around a wonderful experience and I wish I could host another party to use them again!

I found DJ Face CT through gigmasters.com, where he has extremely positive reviews. After speaking…read moreto him over the phone he seemed like a very professional, while easy going and fun, DJ. I was extraordinarily confused when I found that the only review he had on yelp was so negative...so I called him to ask about it. He explained to me that the reason behind it was that after multiple conversations about the possibility of a "snow date" (due to the event being in January) the previous reviewer refused to set up an alternative. Sure enough, there was a huge snow storm which prevented safe travel to the venue. Every vendor includes this possibility in their contracts and everyone of them has the same policy, not refundable but they can reschedule using their previous deposit. Multiple vendors cancelled the event due to this snow storm, including the venue itself. All of this information was obtained through DJ Face CT, so of course I only have 1 side of the story. But I can tell you this: We booked DJ Face CT for our wedding, with very little notice, and he did an absolutely amazing job. He showed up on time, set up quickly, and had a perfect presence. He was out of the way when it was not his time to perform, coordinated well with all the other vendors, and extremely respectful to everyone. And then it was his time to perform. He brought the energy of our event straight to the top. Starting with the horah, he got everyone out of their seats, dancing and celebrating. We took a break from the high energy for dinner where he provided excellent ambient music. And then his true talent was able to shine through. DJ Face CT read the crowd like a book, as easily as a elementary school level one. We had a small event in a house and we were concerned that due to the limited space people would not dance. We were 100% wrong, DJ Face kept everyone on the dance floor with perfect flow, switching genres as the crowd needed. Literally everyone was dancing. He was able to slow the party down for our "first" dance and bring it right back to high energy after. He did all of this with almost no input from us. Due to the short notice (we were planning to make our own playlists....bad idea...) We gave him only 2 songs (our first dance and a request from the grooms father) and a short list of genres we liked. He filled in the rest using his expertise. We have recieved so many compliments about our wedding, and all of them specifically included how amazing our DJ was. So please don't be off put by the only bad review he has. He did an amazing job at our wedding and I'm positive he would be amazing for any event you're planning.

We found Jovan through Gigmasters where he had pretty good reviews, his price was fair and we…read morethought we had our wedding DJ. As such we put down 50% of the price and stopped looking for DJs. As we began communicating with him on different aspects he was a bit slow to respond at first but we let it go. Some weeks later we got an email from Gigmasters saying that DJ Face CT was no longer a member of their site. (more on this later) We assumed he had gotten popular and no longer needed to rely on their service to bring him leads so he stopped using them to save himself whatever their fees were. We weren't too concerned. But we wanted to make sure our original agreement was still in force and asked Jovan to send over a contract outside of Gigmasters so we had something in writing saying what we paid, what services we are getting for our fee and the date of the event. I think he responded a few days later to this and said he would send something over. A while went by, no contract. Had to chase him a couple more times before he actually responded and sent a contract over. Frustrating, but we had our contract and thought we were still moving forward with this vendor. Fast forward another few weeks and we talk to him about meeting him at a local Starbucks to go over some details and discuss the elements we want to incorporate in our party. We agree to a date and time at a Starbucks that is close to both of us as we live very close to him. It was close enough that he literally could walk to the location if his car broke down. Still despite a nice convenient place to meet he didn't make it for some reason. Why didn't he make it? I have no idea.....HE'S NOT RESPONDED TO US AT ALL!!! This meeting was supposed to be on Tuesday, it is now Saturday and despite texting him on 2 different numbers, emailing his business email and Gigmasters trying to contact him by phone and email there's been not a peep from him. We have since gotten our deposit refunded by Gigmasters and have moved onto another vendor. If you are reading this and you booked through Gigmasters give them a call and they will refund you, they've been wonderful. Oh, remember that bit about him being off Gigmasters? Gigmasters told us it was because he was completely unresponsive to other folks as well and seeing some of the reviews on Yelp I can see it is a systemic issue with him. They said people that went through with using him were generally pretty happy with his service when he showed up but getting him to respond/show up seems to be the hard part. My advice, STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!

This man ruined my wedding…read more He was unprofessional, belligerent, drunk, and absolutely inappropriate. He played Gold Digger. At my wedding. The explicit version. With children in the room. He refused to turn down the volume of music during dinner, and refused to play any of the songs that I requested. Despite speaking with him prior to the wedding about what songs we wanted played during dinner and for dancing, spending hours filling out his extensive online worksheet listing "MUST PLAY", "WOULD LIKE PLAYED", and "DO NOT PLAY" songs, he played almost exclusively his own picks or songs on my DO NOT PLAY list. He told me during our conversation that he was good at reading the crowd, and would be able to play a good mix of songs that would keep people on the dance floor. I was mortified. His music drove 1/3rd of guests home, and another 1/3rd of my guests outside of the ballroom to escape his music. I tried my best to be on the dance floor despite the undanceable song choices (including 500 Miles?!?) and disco garbage. I am a dancer, and several of my guests are swing dancers. It was impossible to dance that night. What made things worse is that John Rzasa, THE DJ, kept trying to dance with me. He even tried to cut in on my husband, then got on the microphone and called my husband jealous because he wouldn't let THE DJ DANCE WITH HIS NEW BRIDE. I finally just left the dance floor because the songs were unbearable and the DJ wouldn't stop harassing me. I went outside to the concrete patio with the rest of my guests and danced with my swing dancer friends to songs we played on our cell phones. When I finally went back inside to get a drink, he was playing a song on my DO NOT PLAY list, trying to lead a line dance with a handful of reluctant guests. When he saw me come in, he rushed back to the microphone to say "Oops, the bride is back. This was on her do not play list!" while grinning. When he finally did play something that I had requested, he prefaced the song by saying "I will allow this, just this once" while glaring at me menacingly. At the end of the night, he cut off the music abruptly in the middle of the last song, and announced that the evening was over. He then tried to drunkenly embrace and kiss my guests who were leaving. My mother-in-law was horrified. It was a nightmarish experience. Unfortunately, the nightmare didn't end there. I emailed him to express my absolute horror at the evening. Ever since then, he has been non stop calling me and texting me almost exclusively between the hours of 11pm and 5am despite my multiple attempts to ask him to stop harassing me and to simply respond by email. I have had to block his number as he will not stop harassing me. I have since talked with several guests who were too embarrassed to say anything on the day of the wedding because they thought the terrible songs were requested by me. What was supposed to be a wonderful day of friends, family, good food, and dancing has become a terrible memory. I have almost no pictures or video of dancing because the dance floor was embarrassingly empty for almost the entire night. John has failed to respond to my emails. He has failed to offer any reparations for his drunken and inappropriate behavior. I only hope that by posting this review, he will never again have a chance to ruin someone's wedding.

We used DJ Evan from Party Pro DJ for our wedding. Evan was very nice, and Beth (the manager) was…read moreincredibly helpful, responsive, and kind. I would definitely recommend using this company, BUT with some major caveats that I wish I had clarified. PROS: Very professional, responsive, reasonably priced, great website, MOSTLY followed our instructions that we wanted a DJ who was completely non-involved. We did not want the kind of DJ who bellows, "And nowwww, presenting for the verrrrry first time...put your hands together for MR. AND MRS. SMITH!!!!" In other words, we didn't want anyone who sounded like they could double as a radio DJ or a WWE announcer. We wanted someone who would quietly put songs on the stereo from the corner, and maybe say "If folks could please take their seats, dinner is about to be served." That's it. Evan did a GREAT job of this, except for during the cake cutting, when he took it upon himself to narrate the entire thing, which just made me cringe and whisper to my new husband "What is he doing?!?" It was distracting and tacky. CONS: The one thing we cared about most was having a DJ that would give us full control over the songs. Party Pro is perfect for this because you can create as much or little of your playlist as you want (re: you can create 100%, and we tried to). We used their website to create three playlists: "Dinner Music," "Must Plays," and "Would Likes," which are the lists the website prompts you with. (There is also a "Don't Play" list, to which we said "anything not on our other lists"). Evan did only play songs from our three lists, so that was good and as expected. However, apparently we also needed to be explicit about the fact that the songs on the "Must Play" list were higher priorities than the songs on the "Would Like" list. We weren't, because we thought this was very obvious from the titles of the lists (are we crazy there?!?). I also referred to these lists as "Tier 1" and "Tier 2" throughout my correspondence with Evan and Beth, so I thought that also made it clear. Not so much. Evan played many songs from the Tier 2 list before getting to all of the Tier 1 list, and as a result, many of the songs we had really, really cared about hearing were never played because there wasn't time. There was more than enough time for the whole Tier 1 list, but we had put extra songs on the Tier 2 list just for a buffer. It was very frustrating to hear Tier 2 songs before all the Tier 1 songs were played (actually, I think he ended up playing more Tier 2s, which really made me mad!). Ultimately, it was fine, because we had a dance-friendly crowd and, quite frankly, the Tier 2 songs were still good enough to keep everyone on the dance floor the whole night. So from that angle, Evan was great. But we had put some very danceable songs on our Tier 1 list that also had great sentimental value, and many of these were sorely missed by my husband and me. I will confess this is my only regret about our wedding (not a huge one, but a regret nonetheless). Looking back, I really think we were clear enough in our prep meeting about what we wanted, but apparently not--too late for us, but not for you. : ) All of that being said, I would still recommend Evan and Party Pro...just make sure you spell everything out six ways from Sunday.

We met with Guy a few weeks before our wedding and I instantly felt so comfortable with him. He was extremely professional, took the time to ask us questions and get to know us a little. He felt like a friend! I knew I could trust him to make our wedding everything we hoped it could be. Not only do DJs play music, but you don't realize how much work they do behind the scenes making sure your timeline of the day goes smoothly. I loved that I didn't have to think or worry about anything! Guy connected with our venue coordinator, photographer, videographer, and maid of honor/best man himself so that things went smoothly the whole night. It was so amazing! The music was the BEST, Guy kept the party going and knew exactly what to play to appeal to all different ages. The way he introduced us was professional yet exciting, and he knew how to get everyone up on the dance floor! My maid of honor told him that night that she wanted him to be her DJ, which he will be this September for her wedding! We saw DJs from NuImage Entertainment working at 2 other friends weddings before our own, and I tell everyone I know to definitely use them for their own weddings! Best DJ company by far!!!
