To my surprise they had me fooled. I met with Andy Tuttle, Kenneth Powell, and Jack Bishop. These group of guys helped me out in understanding how mortgage works and what things to expect. I sat with them and they explained to me how the process works from start to finish, what my price range was, and approximately what my total mortgage was going to be every month. They help me understand down payments and what things I should take care before purchasing. It took me a few months to get some personal things in order, but during that time they were patient. They even sent me a small gift for me to enjoy after I had my surgery and sent me birthday wishes. When I got back on my feet I was ready to buy, I called them and they were ready to go. They paired me with a great realtor, Mo from Ebby Realtors and well here I am going on two months later and I am enjoying my new home. Thank you everyone who helped me through this process. Four different times, I had attempted to secure a home mortgage loan. My income was more than enough to support monthly payments but the changing nature of my business made it virtually impossible to qualify for a mortgage. Conversations with lenders always started with "no problem" and ended with "so sorry" - after investing hours providing information. It was incredibly maddening disheartening. I ended up buying my home through a friend when the building I was living in was sold. IT was terribly frustrating that I couldn't get any of the true benefits of homeownership. Eventually, I found Susan. The process was seamless. Everything Susan said she could or would do, she did. She is highly communicative and responsive. Her team never let me down. Susan handled every question, every issue, every unique challenge with composure, courtesy, accuracy, and speed. Not only that but we closed in record time. I emailed Susan on April 2, 2017 and was closed on April 28th. I am ashamed to admit it took me 1 1/2 years to write this review (it's been a rough couple years), but I would never let such awesome service go unrecognized. I have never had any problem with the servicing of the home loan. I will not use anyone but Susan for future lending needs. Those who know me, know I am a perfectionist with an empty inbox, a color-coded to-do list, and an alarm set for 4am every day. I am not easy to impress. Susan did. Joy was there every step of the way to make the process as painless as possible. Fast forward to March of 2020; Joy saw how much lower the rates were and called me out of the blue to recommend a refinance. We were able to go from a 30-year loan to a 15-year loan with only a slightly higher monthly payment. You will NOT get this kind of customer service and personal attention with a larger bank or big box lenders! She did such a good job that I recommended her to one of my good friends, and he was able to do the same thing I did. We were promised a 30 day close and 24 hours before closing, after having received pre-approval, preliminary closing documents and multiple promises we were told that "it wasn't going to happen" unless we increased our down payment (already at 25%)! We were told that our specific underwriter was very picky! We had to restart our process with a different lender and closed in 12 days! That's not all! After we pulled our application they called back and said "just kidding" they had given our file to a different underwriter and we were good to go now! How can an individual within a company have the ability to approve or disapprove based on personal bias! Do they not follow the same policies and procedures? They hounded us for 72 hours with phone calls, texts and emails saying that they could guarantee our close ( something they couldn't do in the first 30 days). The lending officer actually called the sellers agent and told them that they cleared us to close and that we pulled our application! UNETHICAL!!! Also, we payed up front for our appraisal and when our new agent called them to share that information, they refused, quoting some loophole...we had to pay for another one! They also refused to refund our $400 rate lock fee saying that since we withdrew our application, it was forfeited! There's more! My husband made the mistake of telling them that the new lender was giving us a better deal and they revised their contract to match it, trying to get us to stay on with them. My husband actually talked with some sort of supervisor at the company and said he was very nasty once he realized we were terminating. Save yourself time, money and heartache...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
