Okay, this may not be quite 'as good as it gets' for a public square - but it has a lot of value to…read moreme since I live nearby, and it's one of the city's very few meaningful public spaces. It's a very well designed area, reaching the corner of Main and Queen streets - the heart of downtown Brampton, and occupies a good amount of space. Several business have direct access to it, such as: The Works, Starbucks, T By Daniel, Little Shop of Ice Cream, and there are of course many other businesses nearby. Realistically, most of its use is during the late Spring and Summertime. There's a wonderful Winter Festival which completely packs out, and a handful of other things in the fall - otherwise, this place is alive in the summer. There's a few concert series which takes place here, and other festivals. What has recently brought up the profile and crowds in the last year is the giant screen they've installed. Yeah, it took a screen to draw the crowds, but it's still a lot of fun regardless, and has a very unifying, community feel. At least twice a week during the summer, they play mostly throwback, fun movies. There's great picture quality, and the sound is far better than what you may expect. It's also been used for big sporting events, such as Blue Jays and Raptors playoff runs, and at the time of writing: the 2016 Euros. What a great way to enjoy supporting your team with others, and for no cost. It's also been a great way to help support the downtown businesses - which are mostly local and independent. More and more is happening here, and importantly: it's increasingly successful. For example: this year they started doing free workout classes, such as yoga and zumba. Not my thing personally, but they've been pretty well-attended. There's a growing sense in the city that this is a great place to be. It's a remarkable alternative and achievement for a city often known for sprawl, lack of activities and lacking culture. I hope that sense of community and supporting local would spread throughout the city, but I'm happy it's at least in one place for now.

Find Moskoka chairs and patio sets to schmooze any time of the day. When doing a cross-town bike ride it is a great mid-ride break station. Transit hub near and free evening/weekend parking in the Rose Theatre garage.

I just went yesterday and bought cake pops and cheese cakes, and I'm in love. Not only is the woman…read morethere super sweet and so pleasant to talk to, but the cheese cake is so good. Cake pops are great as well, I will return for sure!

The lady helping me was a sweet lady, but that's where the sweetness ends on this story…read more I ordered two birthday cakes form this place on two different occasions. I asked for a printed photo and it came out with printer streaks, but it was okay because the cream frosting tasted amazing. Second time I was heavily disappointed. It really ruined my birthday mood. Photo was cut but cut weirdly. I gave extra space to maybe cut and hide the lines but they just left it there? Never asked me a question about frosting. I wanted a blue/aqua/turquoise cake and I got a mint green. Frosting around the cake was messy and I assume rushed and PINK. Having my least favourite colour on my 16th birthday cake was maddening. Not to mention they never asked for details? I assumed they knew what I meant when I asked for my name in a space provided but NOPE. They may as well have typed my name onto my cake photo using Snap Chat. I thought they knew to write it in frosting? NOPE. I could have forgiven all of this. All of it. If the cake tasted amazing. The cream icing tasted like the mint fluoride the dentist uses on your teeth! When I first saw the cake, I was expecting something totally different. As an artist, I would have colour matched the 'aqua' to the colour I printed but they didn't do that either! Turned out blue on the top and neon green on the sides. Don't even get me started on the chocolate shavings on the side. Clumpy mess and nothing on the top! At least match it, guys! That cake legitimately made the end of my party a drag for me. I was so excited and my guests were too but it came out like crap. I didn't have time to fix it myself or someone to. For a sweet 16 birthday full of happy memories, I hold back tears each time I think of the cake. Oh and I didn't get a discount or anything for fucking up my order. For a place where the cake artist doesn't ask questions or further details and has a 'professional opinion', they left the crispy cut edges of the cake in plan view, as well as mess up the icing or didn't even try to hide it! You could have at least used chocolate shavings to cover it but NOPE. I love cake, but just looking at that made me hate it. The only reason I didn't cry when I cut my cake was because I was surrounded by friends and family. If I had to rate my first cake: 9/10 If I had to rate my second cake: 1/10 I'm not sure what happened between those two years between both orders but you should check into that.
