In the little town of Charlotte, TN is an old school Candy, Ice Cream, Gourmet Pop Corn, Vintage Soda, and Burger spot called Sweet Charlotte. Stopped in for lunch and what a wonderful place and the folks working there were exceptional. Ordered some burgers and hot dogs (char grilled) along with fries (homemade and hand cut), some vintage pop, and a couple of milk shakes. There's no pictures of the food, as everyone was starving and attacked as soon as it was delivered to the picnic tables. Everything was good, the fries were excellent, and the shakes reminded me of the old fashioned ice cream parlor style. If you are anywhere near this little gem make it a point to stop in and enjoy the flavors of "yesteryear".

Sweet Charlotte is the BEST! What a special place, from the decor to the menu, the cool photo ops and the SWEETEST people own/run it. We LOVE Sweet Charlotte. Every time we are in TN we make a point to go and get some gourmet treats, unique sodas and take some pics. Go! Don't wait!

This place is absolutely everything! Sweet Charlotte is a must for all sweet and salty delicacy lovers. This amazing little shop is full of so many options to fulfill any craving you have for delicious candys, popcorns, and other sweet treats. There are more homemade popcorn flavors than I can count on my fingers. You can sample anything before you buy at the popcorn bar as well. Flavors ranging from your typical buttery popcorn to caramel and even as wild as dill pickle! Ask about their refillable popcorn canister. The location is in the heart of Charlotte, TN. Inside, it is very welcoming, colorful, and clean. Crystal and Michelle, the lovely women working at the time of my visit, gave me all the information on the options available. So knowledgeable and personable. Regardless if you are a local or just passing through, Sweet Charlotte is a MUST for your visit. You can even order online from anywhere as well!

Ouch....nearly $4 for a small bag of popcorn. I get it, it's gourmet and it really is good...but that mark up is crazy.

I've been here several times over the last 5 years and only recently had an odd experience. I love the variety of products in the store and was pleased to see that they had been moved to a larger space inside of the Factory at Franklin! When roaming the store, I would've loved to see more "Franklin" and local apparel - of course they have a good selection of items but I saw lots of "Brentwood" and "Columbia" items and not a lot of Franklin and Nashville which I think would be beneficial for them as they are in the Factory in Franklin. Usually love their young friendly staff but went earlier in the week and had an odd interaction with an older woman at the register who made a weird comment about my shirt. She also seemed to have no clue what she was doing when trying to ring me up. Her colleague had to help her but I literally stood there for 30 minutes JUST TO BE CHECKED OUT. Anyways, usually have a good experience but they are going through change and im assuming they are experiencing some bumps here and there... Either way I will be back and love this little shop dearly.

Staff told us they were not allowed to do that and could only serve from what was already in front. There was also a posted Kilwins "Handling Allergen Requests" notice stating that stores should not open a fresh tub, use separate scoops, or implement special handling procedures for allergy requests. I understand no ice cream shop can guarantee allergen-free food. However, families with celiac disease should know this location would not take even basic cross-contact precautions such as a clean scoop or clean/unopened tub. Because of that, my daughter could not safely order. Very disappointing experience. In Response to owner : Hi Ashley, I appreciate your response, but this actually highlights the concern. Saying that using a clean scoop or an unopened tub "would not make a product safer" is very troubling for families with celiac disease. Those steps may not eliminate all risk in a shared environment, but they absolutely can reduce one obvious source of gluten cross-contact: shared scoops and front tubs that may have been touched by cones, cookies, brownies, or other gluten-containing items. We were not asking Kilwins to guarantee that anything was gluten-free or allergen-free. We understand there is still risk in a shared environment. We were asking for basic cross-contact precautions so we could make an informed decision. What is disappointing is that Kilwins' policy appears to remove that choice entirely by refusing to take any special handling steps, even when a family clearly understands the remaining risk. For a child with celiac disease, being told that the store will not even use a clean scoop or unopened tub is not "keeping customers safe" -- it means the customer is effectively excluded from being able to participate. I appreciate that your intent may be to avoid misleading people, but the better approach would be to say: "We cannot guarantee no cross-contact, but we can use a clean scoop and unopened tub upon request." Families with celiac disease deserve accurate information and reasonable precautions, not a blanket refusal.

As a lover of fun treats this was just the info I want to know about. The shop/factory is located in the busiest area of downtown so be prepared to find expensive parking if you are driving(we paid $32 for 2 hrs) This was such a fun stop though! The day we were there I saw two separate groups doing the make your own goo goo tour. We didn't plan that far ahead so decided to just do the design your own and the workers made it for us using our custom fillings and coatings. It took only about 15 min after ordering to be done. It was about 90 degrees out the day we went so we sat at one of the stools to give our creation a taste at its freshest and not risk it melting. It was delicious of course! If you go, don't forget to check out the Premium limited edition flavors. During our visit they had Fluffer Crunch, The Howie and PB &P. We almost purchased the Fluffer Crunch but we decided we had enough candy at this point. Next time!
