It was brought to my mind why CBR was not a five star resort for me. It has everything they say it has and does everything they say they will do. So I gave them the 5 stars they always deserved. We were surprised at how quiet it was even though there were a lot of people in the area. I loved waking up to the sounds of the loons every morning and having my coffee on the porch while watching the geese land on the lake. My family is from Minnesota, but now we are scattered. We were happy to have this time together and not only enjoy each other's company, but have a nice comfortable place to eat, play and relax.

Back then a good resort cabin was one where the screens weren't ripped and the screen door closed to keep the misquotes at bay. Boy things have changed. Scott and Beth's Otter Tail Beach Resort is nothing at all like those resorts of my childhood. I stayed in one of the smaller cabins and it was modern, clean, and very functional. There was a nice complete kitchen area, a TV, and a nice shower right in the cabin. The woodwork and detail was awesome. In some ways the cabin was nicer then my house. When I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here.

Lakeside cabins are traditional cabins filled with up north charm. The lake shore has a great beach for kids and a large dock for adults to sit and talk, enjoy the sun and be able to keep an eye on the kiddos. Boat rental is available or bring your own boat. The Rave and swim raft are great additions to swim out to and get away from others on the main dock. Paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe are also available to resort guests. A play ground, game room and a small general store round out the resort amenities. We wouldn't stay any where else.
