Choice Vehicle Rentals hire cars, vans and lorries at competitive prices. They have been going for…read moremany years and I've used them many times. I've hired cars, vans and lorries from them and their vehicles are always cheap and reliable but not always of best quality. Their vans tend to be old, very high mileage examples. I've had a few ropey vehicles from them but would always use them again. They have several depots across Sussex, so some most vehicle stock can be transferred from one location to another if they don't have the vehicle you want locally. They are always friendly and helpful and their requirements are not as stringent as other vehicle hire companies that won't let you have points on your license, high deposits or being over a certain age to drive vehicle. They are always my first choice for a vehicle although I wouldn't hire one of their vans for long distance work.

It costs me about £30 return without a cabin and £53 return with a commodore cabin. It's a big cabin with a 3/4 bed. It is supposed to be for one person only, but my girlfriend and I always shares it because the bed is big enough for two and it is always better than a cabin with two separate beds :-). It is actually the best cabin they've got as it has its own showroom and toilet, a desk, and a WINDOW. I advise you to travel at night (departures are around 11 in winter). You will arrive at 6 am French time and will have time to rest before you arrive.

If you count the cost of travel their fares are economical, travelling to Dieppe from the South of France or Spain is much cheaper with much lower road tolls and volume of traffic. On the UK side you can be at the M25 just as fast as from Dover, without all the hassle. For me I will give them my full support and wouldn't consider using another route. p.s If you are a pensioner and ring the terminal direct rather than use DFDS website they will give you a 10% discount if you are a pensioner. My stay here was very pleasant, it was a few years ago now with my parents and it was just a nice and relaxed time. The rates start at £45 which is a great deal really! You get tea and coffee in your room with a kettle so you can just sit with that in the evening or morning before heading of for a meal at the restaurant. They do really nice pub grub and home-made food and it tastes really nice! The pub is really historical and old with provides a great atmosphere. Enjoyable.

It handles around 0.9m passengers a year. The first station on the site opened in 1846 on the Lewes to St Leonards railway line. It became the junction for Eastbourne and for the line northwards to Hailsham in 1849, with the Hailsham line being extended northwards to Eridge on the Uckfield-Groombridge Junction line in 1880. In 1881, to avoid Eastbourne-Hailsham trains having to reverse, a new station was opened further east. The Hailsham line closed in 1968, and the short direct line to Hastings has also closed, necessitating the reversal of all eastbound trains at Eastbourne. In 1986, the 1881 station was closed (it is now a restaurant) and a replacement opened on the site of the original 1846 station, on Polegate High street, and this is the station in use today. It has two platforms, with the main buildings on the north, Eastbourne-bound line. Facilities include a car park, ticket office, waiting rooms or shelters, ticket machines, and cycle storage, but no toilets. There is step-free access both to the ticket office and via short steep ramps to each platform. Between the platforms, there is a footbridge: level access is via the High Street level crossing (allow 5 minutes). Services are provided by Southern; there are two trains an hour to each of Brighton and London Victoria, both via Lewes; and four eastbound to Eastbourne, two of which continue to Hastings and Ore, and one to Ashford.

Information packs readily available, you can buy Railcards from here too. I like the welcoming feeling of this station, which also has a night gate for late exits when the barriers are off. I'd recommend this to families, commuters and just about anyone due to the wide platforms and nice service.

Bodiam is famous mainly now for its impressive castle, but 70 years with Bodiam at the heart of the Rother Valley hop industry 4000 pickers were transported to the hop gardens to pick hops. The last hops were picked in 1970.

They will answer your email quickly if you have any questions when booking your reservation, as well as send you a confirmation email a few days before you arrive. We came here for the 2017 AIMS Summer Music course in Eastbourne College and loved the convenience of having the Birley Centre directly across from the hotel and the rest of the classrooms one or two blocks away. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, although a little absent minded at times (they forgot to refill our toilet paper a few times during our one week stay). On the main floor, there is an electronic piano that saved my life on a few occasions when the practice rooms in the Birley Centre were locked. Overall, I would definitely return on my next trip to Eastbourne!

Used a lot by bus parties but individual guests not overlooked at all and looked after just the same. Rooms fair and reasonably comfortable but somewhat small. Not exceptional and a bit impersonal being quite large in size. You may have to put up with enforced Bingo run by bus parties but some people like that i suppose.
