Our first pair lesson with Savannah is perfect. My kids 5 & 3 love the water but are veryyyy novice and hardly want their faces wet. But she's so patient and fun with them that they're laughing and having so much fun. The pool is great, enough space for a couple of classes. And toys in the waiting area, changing rooms, etc. I was a little hesitant to go to a strangers house but after having such a hard time getting lessons at the rose bowl & waterworks - I figured I'd give this a shot. This is a wonderful swim school and small business! Great pool, easy parking, lovely instructors, flexibility, and I love that they offer sibling lessons. I also love the scheduling system, which is à la carte, so you're not having to commit to coming at the same time every week for multiple months straight, since that isn't realistic. It makes it much easier to do swim lessons this way. I also agree with their teaching methods. We used to attend a different swim school nearby, where the child would only swim back-and-forth in a small area for the entire lesson. At Swim Day with Jay, the instructors teach the children all different types of safety and swimming maneuvers in addition to regular swimming, so it feels well rounded and not like a "swim factory". I highly recommend and we are coming back when they reopen in the spring! read more

The "sibling swap" weekly class has been amazing with our scheduling! Coach Jay tailors it to your kids level/ages and matches you with other siblings of similar level/age. My two boys have taken swim lessons at Burbank parks and rec but it didn't help. They would do more then put their legs in the water and hold onto the rails. After a few weeks this past summer taking weekly lessons, my boys are not only dunking their heads and blowing bubbles, they are also having fun and are confident in the pool. They are jumping in the pool and know how to climb out on their own. They have a long ways to go but I was thrilled with their progress. Jay is hands down the best private swimming instructor in LA. I have two children that were traumatized by a horrible swim lesson and both were terrified of the water.
