And a slow one. Those speeds are based of what I was told a while ago. So hopefully I remembered accurately. When ever we are there. We see more people playing mini golf. It's priced really well too. In Branson, MO? It's all about Jesus and mini-golf. Professor Hacker's Dinosaur Canyon (I'm calling it "Dino Canyon" from now on) is one such contribution to the putt-puttian zeitgeist, and it is a hoot. Its name is half-right; while there is no canyon (but there is a rad volcano thing, it is riddled with dinosaurs, most being extremely, lovably derpy. If you dig a leisurely stroll through campy terrain, you'll love Dino Canyon. The golf itself is nice but not exceptional. Sadly, the dinos are mere window-dressing, not actually incorporated into the holes themselves. There are two courses: Raptor and T-Rex. We chose T-Rex as we were promised stairs and a slightly more challenging course. I wouldn't call it a challenge (we scored 49 to 47 on 18 holes), but it is nice and fun and we'll-designed. The price is pretty swell. A game for two adults is about $25, and if you keep the scorecard you can play the other course for $5.50 each. Also, a hole in one earns you a free game! Heck yeah. The bathrooms, holy smokes. So clean. Seriously, hold it 'til you get there. You'll be glad you did. If you're in Branson, don't go to a show. Go to Dino Canyon.

Most of the holes were extremely similar and there weren't many thematic elements. It seemed to have been made on a lower budget than all the others in the area. The restaurant/mini golf combo was a cool idea, although the food is very pricey for concession stand food. The workers were all very friendly and it was nice to be on a course that was pretty empty versus the crowded courses we saw on the way. I would not choose this location again because it was not that entertaining or unique and had very little shade.

Once seated, we did not get service in a timely manner. The three beverages, red sangria, white sangria, and gin and tonic, were not even drinkable. These were some of the worst beverages I have ever had. I am glad we ate prior to arriving. We have had pleasant experiences in the past, but this last Thursday made me not want to come back.
