I just can't express enough how much we love this place! First of all..owned by a woman of color is already a green flag in my book. I have literally done almost every single thing this place has to offer from open play, to preschool, OT, hosting a birthday party there and special events like the holiday party and carnival. In terms of birthday parties, it was SO easy. Literally one of the most stress free kids parties I've hosted. The staff were so so kind and super helpful. They helped with everything from setup to clean up so we could just be present and enjoy the day. The party room is super spacious with room for kids and adults. We had a pretty large group and were totally comfortable in the space. I appreciated that we could bring all our own food and decorations and the crew literally helped me setup everything. For open play there is an awesome variety of things for kids to do. I especially love the quiet room. It's great for my neurodivergent kid to have space to both jump in the bounce house and move that energy out and chill in the quiet and calm area. We celebrated my child's birthday at Swings & Wings and it was honestly the easiest, most fun party we've ever hosted! We booked the private party package and had access to the whole play space -- bounce house, ball pit, climbers, all of it. Our host took care of setup and cleanup so we could actually enjoy the party instead of running around. We recently came for a birthday party for my friend's son. The reason why my friend chose swings and wings is because she has a 3 month old baby, and wanted to do something special for her 6 year old son that didn't require a lot of work on her end. There were supposed to be party attendants, however, one of them was out sick, so the party attendant service was not provided as offered. One staff member (she was wearing a hijab), came in later, and kept to herself, and was on her phone at the front desk. My friend went up to the front desk and asked if she could have help with lunch cleanup so we could prepare for singing and dessert. The venue requires everyone to wear socks, so we didn't want people stepping in food. The employee came at that point and helped sweep. There was an elderly women in our party, whose son came to pick her up towards the end, as well as help pack up up since my friend was busy with her infant. At the end of the party, another employee came up to my friend to discuss the bill. The employees wanted to charge for him to come into the venue, and they also charged the party attendant fee. My friend expressed to them that we did not have a party attendant and did not want to be charged for it. The girl in the hijab begin to have attitude with my friend, and told her that she helped, to which my friend responded that she had to go seek her out and found her doing nothing and on her phone, and she only helped to sweep after being asked. The two employees began cleaning up suddenly, but were talking about my friend within earshot. It was disheartening because it seems like a great place for kids to play and has so much potential, but I felt so bad for my friend that she was treated this way, and just wanted a little help so she could celebrate her son's birthday. read more

I'm so glad Alameda has an indoor playground. Both my kids have been enjoying since 6 months to 5 years old+ Can get busy on rainy days so definitely call to make sure they are accepting open play. It's not huge so it's easy to keep an eye on your kids but lots of variety. Love all the benches and comfy seating for caretakers. There's even a paid massage chair. You need trampoline grippy socks but we've invested pairs sold here and used them plenty. Some favorite areas for the kids are bounce house, kitchen area, ball pit, and slide. There's a clean kitchen area to eat your food. I haven't come or hosted a birthday party but there's a room in the back for one. read more

This place is fantastic, such a great addition to the east bay. I came here for the first time yesterday with my 4 year old and 8 year old and they both loved it. Especially my 4 year old which I think is probably more of their target audience, kids below 6. There are a lot of physical activities like a slide ( more suited for kids under age 5), a ball pit, swings, rock climbing wall, and a whole jump house in the back. There is also a painting station and sensory room to calm down and take a break. They have a lot of chairs and couches throughout the place so if you have some work to get done there is definitely room to do so while your kids place. We have been coming to Swings and Wings for the past 4+ years and our kids love it! Easy parking, lots of zones to play in, a rock climbing wall, bounce house and super clean! I love the seating throughout for parents and variety of puzzles, trains and games. We celebrated our youngest's birthday party there and it was a DREAM as a party host. Everything was ready for us in the party room and the staff graciously helped us with set up and clean up. Kids had a great time and the parents appreciated the coffee add-on for a morning party. We love their long hours on weekends and that they open early (9am!) for toddlers who are up at dawn. Took my 3 year old to a birthday party last weekend and he had a great time. I like how the entire play area is closed for birthday parties so you can just hang out with your friends and family! If I lived closer, I'd definitely take my son more often and even host his birthday party here. The place is overall smaller than some indoor playgrounds and the ball pit is smaller than I've seen at other places, but there's plenty of room for lots of kids to play. This place was the perfect location for a 1 year old bday party! They have a pretty large private room I had around 40 guests and they provided the tables and chairs so convenient. They also have 5 different sensory rooms with all sorts of activities from rock climbing to bouncy houses and painting for the bigger kiddos. They have a kitchen play area and trains with Lego's etc. all different kinds of swings for literally ages 0-8 plus a medium sized ball pit and slide. I recommend this place ten out of ten. The staff was so helpful and they provide you with your own party assistant to help you set up decorations or just about whatever you need them to assist you with. They also help with the clean up after providing you 30 additional minutes to gather all your decorations etc. we will be back for one of there walk in play days. read more

It's winter break so we have a lot of free time with my preschooler and I learned about Swings and Wings from a local Facebook moms' group. We've gone to other indoor playgrounds before but I'm really impressed with Swings and Wings for the following reasons: 1) it's honestly cleaner than a lot of other indoor playgrounds I've taken my kid to 2) it's just one flat fee for the whole day and adults are free! Other places my husband and I had to pay to enter too which felt kinda stupid 3) absolutely love that this place is run by an occupational therapist -- I've worked with OTs in my line of work and you can tell all the activities are really great for helping kiddos with getting the sensory input! 4) it was really not that crowded after lunch and my kid got to have a lot of space to play 5) reentry! We even left for lunch and came back since the fee is a DAY pass and you just check in with your kid's name We are definitely bringing my kid back again during this winter break. He LOVED it and didn't want to leave! He even got to play with paints and we brought home a fun piece of art he painted!! read more

This is a local business and is a good place to let off some steam or have a play date when you're house is a mess. Our kids like coming here (ages 1 and 3) and there are so many things to do - swing, balloon, slide, bounce house, painting, sensory room, puzzles, books, train table, and then they do it all over again. There's even a place to rest and eat your snacks - it's a thoughtful layout and place that was obviously designed by a caring parent. It's $16 for the first kid and then $13.75 for others - or you can buy a book of 10 tickets for the latter price. We already had the grip socks and waiver from a birthday party so it was easy to go back and visit again after the first visit. They have a large back room to accommodate birthday parties with kids and adult tables and chairs. I found this place on Instagram, bookmarked it for a metaphorical rainy day, and ended up visiting with my toddler and husband on a literal rainy day in early 2025. The day pass was $17.50 and we purchased a pair of Swings and Wings sticky socks for $3.75. There were a number of older, elementary aged children in the space, but there's enough room so that everyone can gravitate to something different/take turns. My daughter spent time with the blocks close to the entrance, minimal time on the swings though they do have ones oriented for smaller children like her, the ball pit area, the art/activity room, the sensory room, and on the slide. Toward the back there's space to have snacks and also a bounce house. I was really impressed by how many stations there were and the sheer variety of unique things for children to engage with. You can tell the owner was very thoughtful and intentional and, as a parent, I really appreciate that. I know from their Instagram that they clean regularly and I appreciate that as well. read more

Cute little place that I never knew existed! We dropped by the open play on the weekend and it was packed! Fortunately enough we were able to get our little one in (11 months old) for a few hours. I have to say that my little one was probably too young to be playing here. I think the set up and the environment is best for those 2+. But my little one had so much fun watching everyone and playing on the swings though. I love that they have a bouncy house in the back. The staff were all so amazing and friendly! I noticed how they would speak with the kids and have gentle talks with them about her behavior. It was great! I would definitely bring my little one back here once he gets a little older. What a cute little space! I found this cute gem on Instagram and dropped by a few days later. It's really perfect for toddlers and kids. I brought my 2 year old and she immediately got excited. First thing I'll note, we were able to walk in but sometimes they reach capacity. Check their IG or call ahead to make sure there is space since they don't accept reservations. The day pass was $16.50, good price in my opinion! When you first walk in the space is very bright and welcoming my daughter knew we were there to play as soon as we walked in. The woman at the front was really warm and friendly. We didn't have trampoline socks so we bought a branded pair for $3.75 (only required for kids) then signed the waiver and we were ready to go! When we first walked in there was so much to see and I like how there were different stations guiding your through the space. My daughter ran past the play kitchen, lego and train station straight to the swings! There were 3 or 4 different options and seemed to range from baby to 5-6 year olds, really good variety. There's also a climbing structure with a slide and ball pit. When you keep walking there's a kitchen with a fridge, water, and vending machine with snacks. But our favorite part? The bouncy house! Yes... tucked in the back is a huge bouncy house with a slide. I was shocked... good shocked because HOW DID THEY EVEN GET THAT IN THERE! Lol. We spent the duration of 90 minute visit there and my daughter made friends with a pair that was there. She's been out on holiday break so it was great to play with other kids. After jumping for a while we found the paint area then made our way to the train and Lego station. After around 1.5 hours we had to leave and she threw a FIT. I've heard a lot of good things about this place! It's smaller than I thought, with a few rooms - one main room with swings, an arts and crafts room, a quiet room, and there was a back area with a bounce house. We went on a federal holiday, and it was pretty crowded in the morning. The line to get in was long and a bit chaotic since the reception area isn't a large space to begin with. Luckily, I signed the waiver prior, which made our check-in a little easier. We did bring our own grippy socks, but they were not up to par with the staff, so we had to buy our own. My kids are at different age ranges 5 and 1 years old and I think they both had fun. Because the space was so small, it did seem a bit chaotic with kids as well as parents in the space. I wasn't sure if there was a cap on how many people could be in the space at a time. My kids had fun, and my daughter wanted to stay longer, but I would recommend going at a quieter time. read more

I am so glad to have Swings and Wings in Alameda! I love that everything is pretty well spaced out in several different rooms rather than just one giant room with toys. My daughter is only 1.5 years, and gets a little overwhelmed when there are a lot of big kids running around. So, it's nice for her to have other spaces to go to if one area is getting a little rowdy. It has always been very clean when we've gone, and I appreciate the chairs and sofas scattered around for parents. There is also a kitchen area open for use which is a huge convenience, and I sincerely appreciate the "nut free" facility rule as the parent to a kiddo with a nut allergy. Most of all, I love their hours and the fact that they're open for more than just 2-3 hours. They are also super transparent about their hours/any changes on their social media and post updates weekly, so I always make sure to check there before going. read more

I visited Swings and Wings for the first time today with my toddler and it was an okay experience. There are several positives but a few concerns. It's located in a shopping plaza, so there is parking, but it's limited because of all the stores. Everyone needs to sign a waiver before entering which can be done online. One of the best things about this place is that you can enter and exit as much as you want without having to repay the entry cost. I would also recommend bringing a snack for your little one, as there is a vending machine with different options but everything is marked up. Inside there is a bounce house, swing area, arts and crafts area, sleep room, ball pit, and station for toys like legos. All children must wear socks with grips and if the grips aren't "grippy" enough, you'll have to buy socks there that you can keep. I wish the staff would have done more by way of cleaning up behind children and telling parents to control the actions of their child. Overall, not a bad place to visit. read more

It's been years since we've visited (over 3years) and this indoor play area is still amazing. I had my twins first birthday here and loved the help that came with setting up and taking down decorations. We came back to visit yesterday and the twins who are now 4 loved playing for over three hours. One of them was so sad to leave that he cried for a good twenty minutes after we got home because he missed the ball pit. The facility is very clean and organized. The play areas are great for intentional play and well spaced for kids to run and be active. There are chairs/comfy sofas spread out for parents/children to sit/rest/read books. Free WiFi for parents/caregivers who may need to multitask. Whenever my husband has an open house, I try to find something in the area for the boys and us to get into. My husband happened to find this place on Yelp nearby so we decided to go visit and it lived up to our expectations. While it is a smaller space, some may argue that's better for keeping an eye on the kids at all times. There is a jump house area in the back that my oldest fell particularly fond of while my youngest enjoyed the pool pit in the front. I could hardly keep up going back and forth which is a clear indication of how much fun they were having. A great place to tire them out for a good night's rest or a splendid nap! You do have to buy socks with grips before they can be allowed in to play but if you hold onto them for your next visit, you'll only have to purchase them once. read more

Rainy day fun time. We arrived not sure what was in store. We were put on a waiting list, gave our phone number and walked around. Our son looked at the boats and we were called. Husband filled out a form, put provided special socks on our son, and walked in to play with the other kids. Blocks, train sets, art & puzzle room, ball pit, swings, and a bounce house for the kids! Couches and even a massage chair for parents. The staff was very polite and we had a good time. Our son was the youngest there at 9mo, but he still had fun with our assistance. We paid about $22, from what I remember. I don't think it's timed, but they did have a birthday scheduled and let us know prior to paying that we only had an hour and a half before the party was to start. Shout out to local biz Swings and Wings! I took my 15 mo daughter to this indoor play center near Park St Bridge in Alameda today, and it was a lot of fun. They have baby and toddler swings, a ball pit, bounce house, and a reading and puzzle room. Everything was so thoughtfully designed for babies and toddlers including high chairs and toddler chairs in the "cafe" for you to eat from your lunchbox and a vending machine with toddler snacks and pouches. Plus everything was spotless and socks only. It was my first time today and well worth the $16.50 per kid day pass. read more

We love swings and wings! Pre-covid, they legit saved my sanity when I was pregnant and had a toddler, and then again when I had a tiny newborn and toddler. It's a safe place to take your kids where you can also sit in a comfy chair and feed your baby (however you choose) and not feel weird about it. Present day...their covid protocols are exceptional. I had very high hopes for this place and booked my child's birthday. It was disappointing at best. First I got snack packages and when i called on the phone I was told something very different to the website. I specifically said if 12 bagels and some snack packs is what I get for over 200$ I don't want it. I was told that I would get much more so I paid for it. When I got there I was disgusted. And when I asked for just 12 more bagels I was told I could but they would be charged to me at 23$. Then to add insult to injury the hostess very rudely came up to me at 510 and told me everyone had to leave by 530. These comments were made in front of many of my guests, was rude, and ridiculous. This was after numerous children and parents were running through my "private room". This is not a place to spend your money for a birthday. It's a factory trying to make as much money as possible for the least amount of work, food, and foot print. it cost me 700$. It was dirty. I was lied to about the food. I had no privacy - everyone in the place was walking in and out of my room. And the way they kicked everyone out was abhorrent. Do not spend your money here if you can help it. read more

My 2 year old niece spent a few hours in this establishment. The many activities kept her busy and engaged. She loved the variety of swings, playing with the doll house, jumping in the ball pit, climbing up the tower and down the slide, and (most of all) going crazy at the jumpy house! She learned at each of the 4 tables in the activity room and got to paint on the easel. Before leaving, she just had to try the little kitchenette and train sets.
