Priority boarding, more baggage allowance (which came in handy since I was coming home with a luggage full of Swiss chocolates for myself and some for friends), priority security check, lounge access, priority boarding, welcome drinks, 3-course gourmet meal, unlimited snacks and drinks, lie-flat seat with a massager, pillow, mattress, blanket, Acqua di Parma amenity kit, dedicated flight attendant, 2 lavatories for business class passengers only. Food: I liked the garlic bread, and the tuna appetizer. I selected the beef cheek as my entree prior to my flight but I didn't like it as much as I had anticipated. The cake for dessert wasn't great so, I couldn't finish it - it was that, cheese or fruit. I should have gotten fruit instead. Snacks and beverage including alcohol was unlimited. I got an Aperol Spritz because it was available even though I don't like it. Service: Outstanding. I felt taken care of for the 8+ hour flight. I got my peppermint tea (which settles my stomach) without any fuss from the flight attendant. I'm not a high-maintenance flyer and I don't need a lot. Just my peppermint tea and I'm happy. Comfort: I'm fine with lie-flat seats but my seat also had a massager. Of course, I used it multiple times during the flight. They provided a fluffy pillow, a mattress and a thick blanket. I switched to the red Air Canada socks which is part of the amenity kit as soon as I got situated. I had lots of storage space. Electronics charging. The lavatory is on the small side just like economy lavatory. But the toiletries are better. Entertainment: I watched a bunch of movies recently released that I didn't get to see in theaters, and a docuseries about my favorite futbol team. I listened to some music.

La Reserve is not in my opinion the absolute best location nor is the architecture the most beautiful. But, where they may be weak in those categories, they make up the distance and more by providing amazing service, spa and culinary experience offered to there guests. We had the pleasure of staying in the resort for a couple weeks during our daughters involvement with a Juilliard music program in Geneva. You know when you have reached the height of of customer service when all the staff addresses you by name and has a sincere concern for your well being. That is how we felt by the time we had to depart. Like making a new family. We will be in Geneva next summer and for sure we will be staying at La Reserve.

One of the standout features was the public transportation--everything is incredibly well organized. The train station was easy to locate right from the airport, and getting on board was simple. From there, it's convenient to travel to other major cities without any hassle. Another highlight was the customs process. Going through passport control was quick, modern, and completely touchless, making the entire experience feel seamless and efficient. Overall, Geneva Airport is clean, well-run, and very traveler-friendly. Highly recommend.

About halfway between Evian and Thonon, just off the main road that connects the two, lies a…read morecharming, century-old building that houses a hotel on the upper floors and a restaurant on the ground floor. This review is for the restaurant only. This was our first foray here. On entry there was no one to greet us and corral us to a table by the lavatory. Instead we were left to our own devices to wander through the two or three rooms that make up this establishment and settle on a table of our liking, in a corner close to the bar. My wife and I were allowed ample time to enjoy our drinks before ordering. The staff are no nonsense but cordial and attentive. The clientele appears to be made up of an eclectic mix of blue collar workers, business owners and well heeled locals with a sprinkling of tourists. The menu is a liberal offering of classic French fare with a solid selection of wines and spirits. We shared a dozen escargots de Bourgogne for our hors d'œuvre before ordering entrecôte for her and andouillette for myself. We ended with crème brûlée and a tiramisu, coffee, limoncello and a small cognac. The food is fresh, tasty, well prepared and well above average, the house red (of which we got a carafe) decent, servings generous, the service correct, prices fair, the decor mildly rustic but not musty, the general atmosphere slightly clamorous but not unpleasant. There is a courtyard to the side where smokers and nonsmokers alike can enjoy their drinks. We spent a couple of hours there, chatting with Stephane, the rather stern looking but jovial innkeeper and man-behind-the-counter and a lovely Swiss-Argentine couple that were sitting at another table. Definitely worth a visit or if you live in the area as we do, several, regularly. The only negative was that the andouillette was served in a somewhat odd but not unsavoury cheese based sauce that was unfamiliar to me and not the mustard seed sauce that it is customarily served with in both Paris and Troyes. Otherwise a grand experience that left us glowingly satisfied that we shall surely replicate in the weeks to come. 8.5/10.
