The girl working was super nice and suggested she can make a pogo in a bun. I declined went to subway (same place) the customer service was atrocious at the subway but that's besides the point. Came back asked for the pogo in a bun and let me tell you it was actually pretty good. I genuinely appreciate the effort and creativity. Generous amount of onions in the bun huge plus, it's like she knew me ))) . Customer service 10/10. I'll be back for the proper hot dog next time.. or two! :)

It's an excellent place to stop. It's so good I even saw employees from the adjacent Subway get their lunch there. The classics are solid. The cheese dog is worthy of the name, and the poutine will make Canada proud. They are very generous with the gravy, making this a tasty proposition. The signature dishes are the Rise to Fries dog and rose to fries poutine, both featuring their "secret sauce" and pickles. Both are great and preferred over the plain classics. The sauce has a nice herby flavor that works well with the sour taste of the pickles. It's really worth a try. Finally, the lady at the counter was warm, friendly, and energetic, like she actually wanted to work there, a rare phenomenon in this industry.

The sausage was tasty & meaty, and the toppings good quality. The royale burger has a very fresh patty. Again the toppings were good. Skin-on fries were OK.

When I cut it open it was red in centre. The other burger was cooked through. I had brought it up and showed them. The gentleman that was apparently the guy who cooked it looked at it and says they are all cooked the same six mins each side. I would like to mention no customer service at all. I explained it's raw. I can't eat it like this. If you can please cook this more. I didn't ask for another burger. I was being nice about it. He grumbled at me took it out back and with in two mins was back the the same burger that looked completely man handled and proceeds to tell me I was wrong, he cooked it right and it is cooked properly what I am seeing is ketchup. I am not an idiot. It was raw. Obviously there was no point to try and ask again. We just couldn't believe the lack of service and the even more lack of pride in what they do. I wish I would have taken a picture. Clearly red and raw. We both agreed it was a clear sign of how they run their business and will be sure to tell all our friends. There are a lot of chip trucks that respect their customers and have pride in the food they make. Stay clear of this place.

We don't like to leave our little poodle at home, he has separation anxiety; we were disappointed to discover that customers w dogs are relegated to picnic tables on the road/lake side. Before, the chairs on the patio were comfortable/good quality outdoor furniture, but I guess these have been moved to a new, second patio which is dog free but still outside. I brought the cushion my dog sits on in the floor and outdoors, so I sat on it on the hard bench picnic table, ha ha. The shrimp appetizer reflected its frozen journey. The predecessor restaurant always has super seafood. The Thai Mussels were small but a really phenomenal sauce (different from the red curry I've had, it was tomato based and delicious, we sucked it down quickly). Husband's burger was bland and disappointing: I talked him into a side salad instead of fries; the salad used iceberg lettuce and was also disappointing. This was our 29th anniversary dinner so he was quite disappointed and says he will not return to this resto. My Lobster roll was really lovely (should be for $34) but very slow coming and missing the grilled corn on the menu. Service was friendly. One of the owners dropped by to chat when we first arrived Drink list is good...while we were waiting and waiting for our burger and roll I ordered a third glass of wine; together w his two beers and the four dishes, our total bill was $195 w tax and tip. A bit much for two disappointing dishes at a picnic table. This is not fine dining in my view, but Summerkiss is a hard act to follow. We are heading to Lands8fifty in Harcourt for my birthday dinner this week; it also represents itself as offering fine dining and I really hope it follows through
