My wife had the mac n cheese and I had the loaded Dirty Burger, made it a double. The burger was fantastic! With an oven on display and a significant portion of the menu dedicated to wood fired pizza, I had to try one. The classic pizza ($22.50) seemed like the ideal choice, essentially a pepperoni pie. While it wasn't terrible, it also wasn't good - the crust too hard and the tomato sauce tasted canned. It's certainly not the thin blistery Napoli pies their menu describes. If anything, it's something you'd find at Boston Pizza. At least it was covered with a decent amount of mozzarella to make it nice and gooey. Their lunch special, a Korean fried chicken sandwich ($20) was a popular choice. If they just charged a couple dollars more to use a thicker slice of chicken it'd be delicious. Unfortunately, the thin cutlet was too dry and the sweet sauce overwhelming. Even the coleslaw couldn't counteract the sugariness of the glaze. If anything, the potato wedges were the best part of the dish - an abundant portion of the hot and crispy spuds. read more

Sweet baby Jesus, I never thought I'd find a proper pulled pork sandwich this far north! I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, the holy land of hogs and home of the World Championship Barbecue Contest. Then I spent 20 years in Texas, where barbecue is practically a religion. So yeah, I know my way around some smoked meat. We were there a few nights ago. We were shown a table, but not given menus. We places our order and then waitress returned to share that they had no pizzas (according to website this was their feature dish) which then seriously limited the options to basically sandwiches and burgers. The pricing makes no sense (like someone above mentioned) $38 for beef burger and then add-ons for toppings and home fries bringing a very normal burger to cost $45. Not what google says of $20-30 per person for meal and drinks - or what tripadvisor states of "you can get curries or hamburgers for $11-25" All in all, this is not on the list of places to return to. read more

Favorite spot in Huntsville. Their wings are fantastic, we really enjoyed the sweet heat which is a dry rub, the mango chipotle, and the garlic parm. They are also gluten free and super crispy while still being really moist inside. We also loved the pizzas, especially the green acres, and their gluten free crust will make you question if it's really gluten free it's that good. I would avoid the Maui Wowie, it was so much pineapple it was overwhelming. My only criticism is that with so many awesome gluten free options it would be great to see corn tortillas for the tacos and a cider option on draft. The outdoor patios are really nice on a cool evening but service can be a little slow. Not a big deal if you aren't in a rush though! read more

Cute location in downtown Huntsville. We received quick and excellent service for a large group of 11 and found something for everyone to enjoy. Pizza was fresh and delicious, wings were fresh and crispy. Mac and cheese was slightly gritty but a very reasonable portion - in fact it tasted better when I reheated the leftovers the next day. Pricing was expected for what we received. Would return again if back in the area. read more

Visited this place around last weekend of Sept and weather was pretty amazing so got to sit on the outside patio area they have! The ambiance is great and food was Yummm. Stopped by the Mill for a quick lunch while driving through Huntsville. From the looks of it, this is more of a dinner and drinks type of place, as I was the only one there in the afternoon. The restaraunt has a covered patio in the back as well as a rooftop patio (which was closed when I was there). I had the maple bacon pizza which was delicious. The pizza is properly prepared in a wood burning oven. The crust is super thin (almost too thin for my taste) and the toppings are fresh and imaginative. We came to Huntsville for a Sunday - Tuesday "weekend" and wanted to be as covid safe as possible. So instead of dining in, we ordered 2 pizza's to go and could not have been happier! First, they are wood fired pizzas - legit! So yummy! Thin crispy crust with great flavour. Pizza 1: Taste of Autunno Garlic and oregano infused olive oil, roasted butternut squash, brie cheese and crushed walnuts, drizzled with balsamic reduction. To say this Za was delicious would be a massive understatement Pizza 2: The Carnivore Tomato sauce, prosciutto, spicey salami, bacon, mozzarella and pecorino. This had a small hint of spice and salty bite that we were craving. I will 100% be back next time I'm in town. read more

Had dinner here because none of the other restaurants were still open. It was thanksgiving weekend so they are busy. The host was very nice but that's where the good part ends. The waitress was visibly colder and more rude to my table than she was to the table of white family for unknown reasons. Maybe she was just tired from working and not for other worse reasons. I got the cauliflower taco. It's hands down the worst taco I've ever had in my life. Fried cauliflower with some salad dressing and mango jam inside pita-textured wraps. These are so terrible i refuse to call them tacos. I give two stars instead of one because I'm grateful that the people there still working on thanksgiving weekend. But in terms of service and food, I highly recommend avoiding this place when you're in Huntsville. read more

We are here for another year of photographing the fall leaves in Ontario and seeing family. We found Mill on Main last year while still practicing COVID protocols. The food was really good and hence we are back again. This place deserves 5 stars. The menu is not extensive but the food they offer is excellent. We both had the hamburger offerings with fries yesterday and came back the next day for lunch. We had chicken Caesar salad and a prime rib sandwich. They actually cooked a prime rib and sliced it in the morning, I asked. We asked for Scott again today to serve us, what a great waiter. He knows the area and was fun and interesting to talk to as well. We observed what others were eating and were impressed with the pizzas and other offerings. read more

Great dinner at this local establishment. I was with a big group (over 20 people) after competing in some athletes events. Service was very good and efficient even though the restaurant was busy. I had a couple of mojitos which were very good during the evening. My main course was the braised short ribs. The meat fell off the bone and the helping was very generous. I picked two sides, the sweet potato fries and the sautéed vegetables. The best sweet potato fries ever. Definitely worth trying when in Huntsville. read more

Walking into the place, I thought the food would be standard bar food. There was no one inside the building, but once you get to the patio, you'll get one of the best views of the lake! So that's where the people are at! There's a busy dock where you can watch boats drive by. Don't walk by this place, try them as it's a must while in Huntsville. The Ceasar salad was great, in house dressing I believe. It was creamy and garlicky, with a lemon zest, better and distinct from Renee's salad dressing, which some chain bar food places use. The wings were perfect! They're not your average steroid overly dusted bar food wings. The hot sauce wasn't the typical franks red hot type of hot sauce. Again, I think the wings sauce was made in house, it was creamy. Tried the northern heat which was one level down from the hottest sauce. The wings had soft and tender meat and a bit crunchy skin. It was also a good size. The halibut that my companion ordered was dry and he didn't like it much, so that's one star off. You gotta have consistent great food for a five star, although if it were not for the so-so review of the halibut I'd have given this place a 100%. The wings weren't served with carrots and celery, but instead was served with a tiny amount of spring salad with carrots, cucumber and grape tomatoes. The wings were served with a side sauce of Ceasar. The coleslaw that came with the fish and chips was so crisp and had an extra zing, maybe mustard seed, but the server said it was curry. It didn't taste like curry though. The fries they served with the fish and chips were wedge fries. This place uses herbs in their recipes, making them distinct from the usual bar food. I'm surprised that only one reviewer commented on this. It's like dining in a you gotta eat here restaurant. Servers were friendly, but not that knowledgeable with respect to food ingredients. read more

The food is actually pretty good but their customer service was awful this time From the point of entry we were given an attitude and was made to feel uncomfortable. The manager on duty was specifically rude and spoke about us several times to his staff right in front of us. Came in at 12:45 pm with my parents, who are local and eat here a lot. My first visit. My first time out to a restaurant since Covid. Came by boat and saw the place was a little less than half full. At the entrance, were told we would have to pick a floor then; could not look at how busy one floor was and then pick another. We chose the middle floor. We were asked to sit right in front of the door by the kitchen. About 6 empty tables. We asked to take a nice table, further from all of the traffic -- many options. Again, told there is no choice -- take the worst table. Final offer. Walked out. Now having fantastic meal at the new place, canvas, with food delivered by Moose Delany's. No one's a jerk here. Imagine that. There's a lot of options in Huntsville. Mill on Main felt My parents and I are not worth much to them. So, won't be back. read more

So reservations at 8:00pm, 1.5hrs later finally served our meals at 9:30pm and out by 10:30pm. 5 stars you may wonder? We made reservations for a minor league baseball team and parents totalling 35 ppl for 8:00pm on a Saturday night. We called last minute to increase it to 45 ppl. They accommodated our party with no hassle. The place was packed; inside taband outside patio tables full. Think about that...reservations for that amount of ppl on a Saturday night. Yes the service took longer then normal but they served the team first which made the players happy. Although the parents/adults food came well afterwards, all food came hot and freshly made, not sitting under a heat lamp. Large portions and great value. Due to the delay, the manager gave the meals at 50% off. My dinner was the penne bolognese with a very hearty meat sauce. Too delicious and too hungry to stop yo take a photo. Well done and thank you Mill on Main management for doing your best to accommodate our team. Even better, the food you served and best of all for treating us like hometown folks. Hubby and I were taking a tour of Huntsville and came across this gem of a restaurant. Stopped in at 1:30 on a Tuesday. Choice of sitting inside or the covered patio. Small selections on the menu but all food looked yummy. I ordered the fish and chips and those were delicious! Hubby got the potato nachos and said they were the best ever. This place came recommended to us so we gave it a try. Great location, parking can be tricky depending on the time of day. Two large open outdoor dining decks. Young friendly staff. Our server who's name slips my mind (in from college to work the summer) was knowledgeable and made perfect suggestion on what yo try. We sat outside on one of the decks to enjoy the breeze early summer breeze. I cannot complain about any of the food it was all great. Especially the Taste of Autunno pizza - pizza with walnuts and Brie was incredible. Portions are filling...we had the Bruschetta for an appetizer that was nearly better than what I make. We weren't very impressed with this restaurant. The menu was not what is posted on their website. No steak dinners at all or roast beef. I had the salmon salad which was ok but could have had more dressing on it. My husband had fish and chips and it was just ok. A truly disappointing experience. They do not accept reservations. At first I went through a long line to see how long the wait would take. The hostess said it would take 30 minutes of wait time and they couldn't hold a table. I asked her if she could call me with a delayed 30 minutes, so my guests could arrive, she said no. This was at 6pm. My guests wouldn't arrive until 7pm. After some back and forth with my guests we decided to go our closer to 7:30pm. Knowing the wait time was 30 minutes I went back to this place to put myself on the wait list ... again. I stood in line with people who had been on the waitlist for an hour or more. This time, the host told me she suddenly had spots available and could take me then. She told me there was no more waitlist. She would either seat me right then and there or send me off on another gamble. Well because my guests wouldn't arrive for another 30 minutes, the host refused to put me on the waitlist, and I did not want to get stuck waiting an hour like everyone else who had been told 30 minutes; I left. I couldn't wait any more hours to get food. read more

Very disappointed with my lunch at The Mill on Main yesterday. We had a wonderful server (Jordan) and I had a simple request to change one ingredient on a Pizza and they could not accommodate it. I would have been happy if they simply eliminated the one ingredient on the pizza but they would not. I then had to choose another option, the fish tacos that were less than appealing, Just a fish stick in a taco shell and a bit of mango salsa on top. Just a few cents worth of herbs, coriander or dill would have sufficiently elevated this menu option to the price they were asking for the dish. I stopped in for lunch with colleagues today. I ordered the house-made burger with a side of coleslaw and a side of baked beans. The burger was served on an exceptionally good potato scallion bun and was topped with caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and a caper mayo. This patty was seasoned with some kind of herb, but before you groan to yourself, "Ugh, not another meatloaf burger," let me assure you that the addition of the herb did not overpower the excellent flavour of the beef and I didn't detect the presence of any binders that you'd find in the usual type of meatloaf burger. The patty was juicy, flavourful, and beefy and just slightly herby. You can live with the slight herbaciousness and still really enjoy the crap out of this burger unless you're an absolute burger purist. The sides also seemed to be made in-house. The coleslaw was flavourful and properly dressed. The beans were a bit on the runny side (perhaps they didn't cook them down long enough to reduce the sauce), but they had a deep, slightly sweet taste which was pleasant. I would definitely come back here for another burger. It was delicious and I absolutely loved the potato roll it came on. More places need to use potato rolls for their burgers. read more

Great place for a meal in town during cottaging season. Outside patio is very nice and our server was exceptionally friendly despite having to deal with a few issues from the kitchen. Our food was great....duck salad, burgers, pad Thai, and fish and chips for the kids. Our food did take a while to arrive, but the place was clearly packed (Tuesday night), so I understand. We have stopped in a few times now on our way to or from Algonquin Park. Try the patio weather permitting. This past August we had as an appetizer the chicken wings, and they were perhaps thee best I have ever had. Crispy but not dry and we'll seasoned and sauced! Daughter one and I had pizzas, mine the cheesy cheese, hers the bruschetta. So big we could not finish, so leftovers for the camp fire! Very good crust, great sauce.
