We went to architecture school over 40 years ago. It amazing that we still see each other every few years. We ordered dinner and drinks & caught up with each other & made plans for the next few days. Bangus sisig (Effin awesome) I think this must be the Filipino national fish. I ate Bangus probably about 6-8x's for breakfast lunch & dinner. Lechon - Suckling Pig w/onion, garlic Cangkong w/garlic fresh from the sea Beef marrow bone soup rich delicious soup It's always fun seeing these guys & their wives. The only unfortunate part is our 4th buddy couldn't make the reunion, still it was a great time in a nice restaurant open to the beach and ocean. We had a guitarist playing & singing a very nice collection of very relaxing music According to my buddy Boracay Beach was rated the no 1 Beach in Asia. Nacpan Beach is also rated in the top 10 (I went here 2 years ago). Nacpan is also a gorgeous beach, but wo/the amenities of restaurants, bars, stores....

The restaurant is clean and spacious, perfect for large groups, we were 10 people. The staff were nice and friendly, though the service took over 20 minutes so we were really hungry by the time the food came. We ordered liempo baboy, liempo manok, fish sinigang, pork sweet and sour, grilled bangus, chopsuey, and rice. My favorites were the liempo baboy and liempo manok, the pork was tender and juicy with a crispy outside, and the chicken was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The sinigang was tasty, and while the bangus was good, I wished it was a little crispier. The pork sweet and sour had a nice flavor but didn't have much meat compared to the sauce. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Ramboy's, but if you're dining with a big group, expect to wait a bit for your food.

Ramboy's is a popular lechonan/barbeque joint near Caticlan Airport. Here you can get everything…read moreyou can typically get from a well-stocked barbeque place - crispy pata, lechon manok, liempo, grilled calamari, boneless bangus, tuna belly, and so on. In addition, you can get non-BBQ Filipino favorites - kare-kare, kinilaw and lumpiang shanghai, just to name a few. Our guide took us there when we arrived mid-afternoon from Manila; it proved to be a good choice. A takeout order of rice and newly barbequed liempo and lechon manok served all seven of us. Prices were fairly reasonable - 210 pesos for a whole roasted chicken, 300 peso for a kilogram of roast pork. The roasting pit is continually turning out food because the place is popular even post-lunch, said our guide. If you are on your way to Boracay Island and are feeling a bit hungry, grab something to go here before getting on the ferry.

My bf ordered a beef stew. It kinda of reminded me of a dark caldereta but it was sweet.. not bad tho. Meat was super tender and the gravy it came in was tasty. I ordered the crispy chicken covered with pinipig. This was super yummy! Wish I could've finished it! Despite the good food I'm giving this place a 3 because we ordered lumpia Shanghai, this was given to us after we got our meals. It was suppose to be an appetizer! Also, the service for some reason was slow and we were the only customers in the Resturant - like what was everyone doing??? Literally, my bf and I were the ONLY people there!

SENIORS BEWARE! DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY! Me and my wife (we are both over…read more60 years old however I'm the only one who has a Philippine Senior Citizen Card) ate at this restaurant Wednesday, June 10 for dinner. We shared 3 kinds of dishes. When I got our bill, they only deducted the senior discount on one dish that has the highest price. I called their attention that the senior citizen law states that if two individuals shared several dishes and only one has a senior citizen card, the senior discount should be from 50% of the total cost of the meal. The staff said that their policy is that only one dish (that has the highest cost) will be computed for the discount. I even showed them the law but they still refused to change their policy. I'm planning to file a complaint with the Dept. of Trade and Industry as well as with the National Commission for Senior Citizen about this.
