    Pulled pork potato pancakes!

This is as close to as hidden gem that you will find in Gdansk. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it has a great atmosphere inside, the wait staff is fantastic (and are all fluent in English), the food is absolutely incredible, and the prices are very reasonable. We had the potato pancakes with pulled pork, the same but with salmon, the thickest hamburger I've ever seen, and the crepes with sweet cottage cheese and raspberry jam. This is the easiest recommendation I could ever make.

Great spot for some great food. Had their Borshch, Hearing in Olive oil and Meat Dumplings. Everything was 100% on par. Staff was supper nice and attentive and spoke perfect English. The environment was awesome.

If you're looking for a place to eat an inexpensive, delicious and authentic meal, come here! While we visited Gdańsk for three days, we ate here two times for dinner. I've been here years ago as well and the food and quality has not changed. We've tried the ruskie pierogi, pierogi z mięsem, karkówka z ziemniakami, stek z ziemniakami, zupa szczawiowa and żurek. The only thing I wouldn't order again is the zupa szczawiowa because it was too sour for my taste. Order a Cydr, hard apple cider to go with dinner - the raspberry was awesome. We bought a six pack after having it just once! Love this place. I wish we could have had more room or more days to try more dishes.

I've heard about Polish milk bars from our tour of communism. I had an idea that they are similar…read moreto Filipino turo-turo (point-point) where you can tell the person behind the counter what you would like. There are usually several options and the meals are generally inexpensive. As it has been chilly, I've been craving soup. The lady taking the order thankfully speaks English so I didn't have to embarrass myself with my limited Polish knowledge, phew! She told me what she had for soup and I selected beef stroganoff. She asked if I wanted bread with it which I declined. I wanted to try their pork cutlet which I obliged to have with mashed potatoes. The soup, the pork dish and water amounted to less than $15 which is certainly less expensive than most cities in the US. The soup and dish were both delicious. Just couldn't give them 5 stars as I felt the pork would have been much better if it was hot and crunchy(it was just warm). The soup could have also been hotter. I think they don't wipe the tables as often as they should either. This milk bar is nicely decorated though. Considering it is very close to the city center, it is undoubtedly great value for money. Oh, btw, they have an English menu but I didn't see it until before I left

Had to toss in a couple of the cheese blintzes because why not! Great place to come if you don't want the cookie cutter hotel breakfast.
