Dan Murphy Berwick is absolutely enormous and features every kind of alcohol conceivable. The thing I love about Dan's though is it bring new wine varieties to the mainstream without huge price tags attached. Dan's in Berwick features an enormous range of wines. E.g Morington, King Valley, Heathcote, Beechworth, Henty, Gippsland, Barrosa, Mclaren Vale/Eden valley, Grampians, etc. Cloudwine has weekly wine specials; great wines atdiscounted price. Muscat from a barrel, Barossa Shiraz, Pinots, Spanish wines, Whites have all been offered as a special with a bragain price. They sell pretty good beers here too. The beer selection has changed somewhat over the years from being Belguim/European focused, to now more all rounded. Including Australia. Sierra-Nevada brews on the shelves too. These beers all the rage at the moment. And prevelant throughout Melbourne. Prince wine store is just around the corner, you're spoilt for choice. Cloudwine may be smaller but offers an affordable, solid, well selected collection of wine. The shop is set up really nice and feels like an old cellar where they sell their vintage wines at amazing prices. If you're into your wines then this is a great place to pick up a bargain and impress people at your next outing. I ended up stocking up a little more than I should've but it was totally worth it. The mix of good local and international wines with all of the different blends and styles means you will always find a perfect drop for any occasion. Definitely a great bottle shop to visit!!

They don't offer the conventional Yarra Valley wines (in my opinion); it reminded me of a hippi-take on a vineyard. We sampled two of their sorbets and loved their pear cider sorbet more (light, airy, refreshing, and not too sweet). We also loved their pear cider so much (you will never taste anything like it and no, it isn't super girly) that we bought some to take back home (TO the U.S.). So take in the beautiful apple trees (they totally grow different down under) and try something different! *Not trolling with tourists was a BIG plus.

My favorites: viognier (nice and crisp, not too fruity or sweet or dry), rosé (like a good red for summer), and their ciders (pear and apple).
