Although Dr. Clarke noted my complaints with using a CPAP and BIPAP, she totally disregarded them afterwards. Dr. Clarke also wrongly stated CDL drivers have to show compliance for all levels of Sleep Apnea. The FMCSA website states that only CDL drivers with moderate to severe Sleep Apnea have to show compliance with a machine. Dr. Clarke also mentioned modifying my current BIPAP back into a CPAP although I told her neither one was comfortable nor felt like was helping or actually needed. Dr. Clarke also questioned wether I lost weight recently although she could see my current weight matched my weight from my records from the previous Doctor. I didn't know it then but it was because I wasn't a candidate for Sleep Apnea according to the FMCSA.

She doesn't limit herself to one narrow issue and she looks at the whole patient and considers every factor affecting your health. That level of attention is rare. At my last visit, she even suggested a test I might want to discuss with another specialist. To me, that's a sign of a doctor who is thinking ahead, not "overstepping." Some reviews describe her as rude. In my experience, what people may be interpreting as rudeness is simply her expectation that patients know their medications and take ownership of their health. I don't consider it rude for a doctor to correct misunderstandings or emphasize accuracy as that's part of responsible medical care. I'll also add something that may be uncomfortable but true: We live in the South, where there are unwritten expectations about how people "ought" to speak with soft tone and a certain cultural style of politeness. Dr. Kfoury does not always follow those Southern conversational norms. She is direct, factual, and focused. Some patients may interpret that through a cultural lens and assume it's personal, when it may simply be a difference in communication style. I also want to address a recent negative review written on behalf of another patient. I wasn't present for that visit, so I can't speak to anyone else's emotions. But I can say this: I have never seen Dr. Kfoury behave in a way that was unprofessional, uncaring, or dismissive. She has always been direct, attentive, and thorough with me. Medication changes, hospital records, and multiple specialists can easily create confusion. Clarifying timelines and correcting errors is not "aggressive" rather it's necessary for safe treatment. My long-term experience simply does not match the claims that she is rude or insensitive. She has consistently treated me with respect and has shown a level of thoroughness that is increasingly hard to find. By the time you wake up from a procedure, you're really drowsy, so you can't remember what was told to you. The staff doesn't communicate with your family member that picks you up, to let them know what has been done to you. Several times, I've been told that I was going to have a certain procedure done before I receive anesthesia, but when I get home & the anesthesia wears off, I read the paper given to me & it says that I had a completely different procedure done. When I call & ask which procedure was actually done to me, I get multiple answers from different staff members! That is not safe, incase something were to happen & the patient would end up having to go to the hospital & they wouldn't know what to tell the doctor as to exactly which procedure was done!! NOT good at all!! On a positive note, whichever procedure the doctor decides to do on me in order to help me feel better, is perfectly fine with me because if it doesn't help me feel completely better the first time, then they simply repeat the procedure a few weeks later until I feel much better & am not in anymore pain for a while.

Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.... Now I am on the phone with billing who tells me that I owe $75 from a bill three years ago. Huh?? Oh yeah... That was the visit you billed me for because you didn't file on the correct insurance, remember? You sent me about 6 bills and EVERY SINGLE TIME I received that bill I called to tell you to BILL THE CORRECT INSURANCE. Well, it's been three years...not worth the argument so I pay the $75 so I can get a damn doctor's appointment. Now mind you, she makes sure to tell me that if I pay this $75, they will get an appointment for me ASAP. And then I say... "so THIS is why the nurse didn't call me back"??? She assures me "OH NO, I asked the nurse...she never got your messages".... Oh REALLY... NEVER RECEIVED THREE DIFFERENT MESSAGES??? Mind you, I am sick. I"m not calling for a wellness check. To SEE if the doctor will agree to see me? Now I have been a patient for 12 YEARS. I might be considered a new patient for insurance purposes but I'm CLEARLY not a new patient that should have special approval to make an APPOINTMENT? So I WAIT very patiently ..... until the following morning. His NURSE...not the front desk... His NURSE calls me and tells me this........... "Ummm... you were rude to our billing staff yesterday, you no showed on your appointment in 2014 and Dr. Martin isn't accepting new patients. Dr. Martin will no longer see you as a patient." Yes, bitch, I was rude. I had to give you money that I don't owe you after call you for 10 DAYS and get ignored. AND I DONT FEEL WELL!!!!! I think I am now IN FAVOR of socialized medicine.
