Stacey is an expert at highlighting your natural beauty; I never felt like any part of me was being hidden under heavy makeup. I was authentically me at my wedding, and that was so wonderful. Stacey also worked with me to make sure I was pleased with my makeup and hair and was happy to make any small tweaks to my look. On the day of the wedding, Stacey and her team arrived early and worked efficiently to make sure myself and my bridal party were done on-time for pictures before the ceremony. I wasn't sure if I have to tip extra because she's driving to me. Turns out, you don't. So far I've met with her three times (trim, color & color correction). One of the times, I asked if she could meet me at my gym because I had a class to attend. She was happy to oblige & it felt like VIP service. And with the third visit, I had planned to at least tip her to cover gas expenses or something but she adamantly refused to take my payment. Honestly, how sweet is that?! Her customer service is phenomenal. Her bubbly personality makes for easy conversation (not awkward). Her idea of this mobile salon is innovative. Her skills are great. Her pricing reasonable. When I was planning for my original wedding for 10/10/20, I reached out to Shelby (WELL in advance) but sadly she was already booked. Fast forward to peak covid, we made the decision to postpone the wedding to 10/23/21 and the only vendor that wasn't able to accommodate our new date was the MUA I previously hired. I immediately reached out to Shelby for the 2nd time, hopeful that she'd be available for the new date, and she was! I knew it was meant to be so I hired her on the spot before doing my trial. I was an out of town bride so we ended up doing a trial a few months later when I was visiting for the weekend and she made all of my wedding makeup dreams come true. I'm a makeup lover and wanted FULL GLAM for the big day and Shelby delivered 1000%! On top of her extremely talented makeup skills, she is incredibly sweet, has the best energy/so fun to be with and we hit it off instantly. I even decided to do a 2nd trial/glam sesh when I was in town again a couple months before the wedding, just because! Shelby recently opened up her own makeup glam bar/studio Toniq, and we decided to use the studio to get ready on wedding day. It was literally a dream! Toniq is THE most fabulous studio ever and I still can't even believe we had such an amazing location to get ready. We had 9 girls total for both makeup & hair and more than enough space for all of us to glam, and set up breakfast and drinks. Shelby is incredibly accommodating - provided ice, drink coolers, and even surprised us all with babe rosè (which of course we had to use in our getting ready photoshoot)! When we arrived, she already had the music playing and the mood was set for the best glam day ever. Again, it was literally a dream! If you are getting married in San Diego and have the option to get ready at Toniq, I absolutely recommend it. Our getting ready photos are better than I ever imagined and look like they belong in a bridal magazine! Shelby - thank you for everything! Postponing our wedding was challenging, but I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I'll be forever thankful & grateful to have had you as our MUA. There are simply not enough words to express my gratitude, but I'm so happy I had the chance to work with you and now have so many amazing photos and videos to relive all of the best moments getting glammed with my girls for the big day.
