The ONLY negative I might be able to add is the security of the facility...maybe it's because they aren't dealing with very small children so it isn't a big deal but anyone could be dropping my son off or picking him up. The instructors, staff, and faculty all are passionate about what they are doing and creating innovative ways to prepare their students. For example, they have partnered with industry partners who underwrite part of the setting up educational programs and costs in order to provide the school with great resources and in exchange the school creates programs that are immediately needed and employable in the job market. It is a win/win! This particular campus provides educational opportunities in Automotive Technology, Collision Technology, Welding, HVAC, Construction, Nursing, IT, and more. Being a technical college the per hour tuition is a fraction of other colleges and universities. To me that seems like a win for the students and a win for the community!

I would not recommend coming here for a correspondence exam or using this testing center. As a…read morestudent at an online university, I needed a testing center to take an exam. The supervisor I spoke with multiple times while trying to schedule my test was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. After finally getting the exam scheduled, I paid $30 for the appointment. When I arrived, I spent about 20 minutes going through an extremely uncomfortable check-in process. I was asked to lift my hair, show parts of my skin, pat myself down, empty my pockets, and spit out my gum before being allowed to take the exam. The man checking me in even had to "check with his supervisor" to see if I was allowed scratch paper and pencil for an ALGEBRA exam... I understand the importance of preventing cheating, but with cameras everywhere and a full staff present, the level of screening felt excessive and unnecessary. To make matters worse, the testing center does not clearly communicate all of their rules and procedures ahead of time. In the end, I wasn't even able to take my exam because they would not allow the lockdown browser required by my university. While I understand there may have been complications on my school's side, the interactions I had with the supervisor were unpleasant and unhelpful throughout the process. Overall, the experience was frustrating and a waste of time and money. I would strongly suggest students look for another testing center if possible.

The class room is always clean the building in general smells great and always well kept. I love that i can check in on her throughout the day via camera or just dropping in. I get updates throughout the day through the app on how she is doing. When you walk into the building Ms. Tiffani or Ms. Ayesha always great us with a smile and a hello. I work in healthcare and I know not everyday is perfect behind the scenes, but as a customer here I would never know if chaos is going on and I think that says alot. When touring other places I knew immediately this daycare was the place for my daughter. Thank you staff for all you do.

They claim it's because she's a runner and a safety to herself and other kids but they kept a kid in the school that would hit other kids bite other kids throw chairs at other kids hit the teachers and run out the classroom. They kept that kid for months even before I started with them. I don't understand why they can pick and choose who goes there and who doesn't. This school is unprofessional and unsafe for your children to go! They still have a couple of kids in the school that hit bite and run, but it's okay for my kid to get kicked out because it's easier on them... I just think if I was still working there my child would still be in that school. I'm glad she got kicked out.

My concern is the conflicting explanations we received afterward. On the day of the incident, the owner told my husband that she personally witnessed what happened and said our son fell and then scratched himself. The written incident report later stated that he hit a closet door. According to the DFPS investigator, the daycare then told them that no one actually witnessed the incident. My son is too young to tell us what happened. These conflicting accounts have completely destroyed our trust in this school. I'm sharing our experience so other parents can make their own informed decisions.

This school has been such an important part of our family's life, and we could not have asked for a better place for our children to learn, grow, and be cared for. What makes Primrose of West Allen truly special is its people and its culture. Shannan and Andrew lead from the top down, and their commitment to the children, families, and staff is reflected throughout the entire school. They have created something that feels much more like a family and community than simply a preschool. Perhaps the best reflection of that culture is that their staff includes three generations of teachers from the same family -- a mother, daughter, and granddaughter.
