As a retired professor of music I appreciated the extreme talent of that director. He is nothing short of brilliant! People are friendly, earnest, and engaged. It's big enough that you could choose to slip in and out and not get involved, if that's what you want. But it's small enough to make many connections and dive into involvement early. There are wonderful educational programs for chlidren and adults, as well. If you are looking for a place that is serious about faith and also serious about social justice, this is the place.

The instructor (Michael Giacalone) did such an amazing job of reviewing the necessary information, using relatable examples, that it stuck. I passed the exam on the first try! PMA also provides additional guides, videos, practice exams, and tutoring with the exam prep course. They'll also walk you through applying for the exam if needed. I would recommend this course to anybody working to achieve their PMP Certification.

Speaking of materials, the materials were great, and now they include a practice guide on Agile methodologies, which is very helpful in my organization. While walking through their campus, I was impressed with the look of a mini college layout. Their swim facilities are clean and forehead temperatures are taken before you are allowed to enter their building. Parking is challenging when parents are picking up or dropping off students. I've been raised on public school educational offerings and understand why this institution has been around since the late 1800's and why parents would consider this college preparatory school over public school education in Omaha, regardless of annual tuition costs.

After that, we were lucky enough to come across Montessori Academy of West Omaha. First and foremost, I have always felt as though each individual family is treated not only as family (as cliche as that sounds,) but the school understands each family's unique wants and needs. I am a teacher and wanted my kids home with me over the summer months, this is one of the only Montessori schools in Omaha that not only allows that, but encourages it because "what's best for your family is best for us!" even though that translates to a loss in tuition for the school. I have never once thought of Montessori Academy of West Omaha as a school that only sees my kids as a tuition bill, which I cannot say the same for the other school we attended. This school truly embodies the Montessori philosophy of "follow the child." Our daughter looks forward to school, her friends, and being challenged where she is at individually. The small class sizes at Montessori Academy of West Omaha allow for my daughter to receive direct, specialized instruction. We all know kids are not the same, not all kids are interested in the same things, this school has proven they can nurture each child in growing academically, socially, and emotionally.
